    Love you web page on Duramax. The engine sounds brilliant. The evenly and consistent sound reminds me of MB 300SD. Just a quick question: Aside from different hood, is the front bumper taller than LD version?

    If you look on my web page at the Black GMC or Red Chevrolet.. Look at the black part of the bumper (top) if you look at a Light-Duty the black part is on about 1 inch high but on the Heavy-Duties it's 3 inches high and the grill comes farther down than on the Light-Duties..

    I would love to buy a new 2500 or 3500 series if these engines are available soon. I have a 2000 Silverado that I love but need a 4WD and would like to go diesel then too - when will they be out & will it be a sticker price situation? Anyone know of a dealer in Central Florida that will pre-order and make a good deal too? I'd hate to got to a Ford Powerstroke!!!

    The Dealers in my area are ordering the trucks for Over invoice cost. Most are under 1,000 over invoice.. I think that's pretty fair..

    Pricing will be out sometime this month, as far as I know..

    Nothing that I know of.. I have a 2001 2500HD Chevrolet LT ordered, which going by my order sheet includes Fog Lamps with that trim level....

    Those look like the prices I was expecting. Getting up to around $40K for the truck I'ld want. I was hoping it would be a little lower. Only question, are those MSRP or invoice?

    It said MSRP on the headings of the price lists.

    looks like most expensive is
    3500, 4WD Fleetside Crew Cab, LT $36,554
    plus 4310 for Duramax + 1200 for Allison.=~$42,000 MSRP

    substitute the 8.1 engine and MSRP is ~38K.

    Truck price itself is pretty competitive, small percentage over the competition, which is expected. The Allison is pricey. How much are you willing to pay for the best tranny out there?

    I would suspect Dodge prices to be similar when they get their Cummins/Allison combo to market.

    I did not see where it said MSRP on the price list. Oh well, that is good to hear that the prices were MSRP. Should be able to knock something like $3,000+- off? At least after the first few months.

    I was just wondering if anyone had any comments on the IFS 4x4 system? Personally I would prefer a solid axle in front, but that's just me.
