My dad used to do a pretty amazing garden.

Like Lemko I just stayed home and worked around the house and in the yard - no garden though.
Still have about 50 miles left on the current tank before I have to scratch up another $75 to fill up the van.
I have a feeling it was lying, but according to the trip computer, I averaged 30.4 mpg on the way up, and 31.7 on the way home! I was driving mainly flow-of-traffic, varying from 65-75, occasionally hitting 80.
I think that's one of the best readings I've gotten from the car's trip computer. This time around, I kept the sunroof closed, windows rolled up, and just used the vent (not hot enough for a/c). I wonder if having the car completely closed up like that helped fuel economy a bit?
Do I have a Monday surprise waiting?? :shades:
RUG = $3.63
Plus = $3.73
Ultra= $3.83
Diesel fell a couple of cents the other day to $4.07.
In reading a recent Motor Trend testing of 8 C-segment cars, overall MPG for 203 miles which 60 miles was run @80mph w/a/c in 90+ weather, my calculated MPG was 22.1 versus the M/T mag testing of the Chevy Cruze was 23.8..The Cruze is a hoax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week has been weird (like the weather), started off with stations being $4.26 range, then $4.19 on down to $4.05 at a few places (one Shell & the two Speedways) but then they went back up to $4.20 :confuse: Add in construction everywhere and TGIF
Another place is running rush hour specials. From 6AM to 9AM and 3PM to 5PM they lower the price by 5 cents.
I've seen as low as $3.57 in nearby places.
RUG =$3.61
Plus = $3.71
Ultra = $3.81
My usual place was at $3.97 when I drove past there the other day to go to Lowes for project supplies. And the other stations on my route are still in the $3.99 range.
Left on Friday for Michigan. Skipped stopping at a pair of Shell stations about 50 miles form home to fill up. They are usually low. Hadn't check at daytongasprices.com before leaving. Decided to get gas in Toledo at a Shell station.
Son pulled into the Shell station in Toledo and the sign said $3.29. Can you believe that: $3.29. I almost lost control I was so surprised.
We stopped at the same station on the return drive Saturday. It was $3.27. The BP and others at that exit were $3.22 and $3.20.
How could the gas companies miss this opportunity on a mild Holiday for travel for Fathers Day. They always raise the prices when they know people feel a compulsion to travel!
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
Local car dealer is running a protion here too... buy a used car in the next 4 day and pay only 99 cents per gallon... it's either until 2012 or until the end of 2012... only heard the radio ad once. Buy a car anyone??
Not the lowest price you can pay.
I have noticed in my area the decreases stopped some time ago. Chevron premium stuck around $4.10-4.15.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
The stations by home decreased to $3.86 and the other stations on the route are holding at the same price.
RUG = $3.57
Plus = $3.67
Ultra = $3.77
Still too high IMO.
I was surprised on the trip down - Delaware gas is pricier than Jersey (though not by much) but Maryland and especially Virginia were cheaper.
The other $3.83 ~ $3.86 stations are now $3.90
There is a lone wolf which has stayed at $3.80
