$3.49 in Warriors Mark... which is NOT out of my way :shades:

How could you see the prices through the dust? :P
  • larsblarsb Member Posts: 8,204
saw it before the dust hit. We were chewing sand, dude.
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
It looked real bad from the video clips. Better keep that AC on and try to keep some of the dust out of your home. Take care

Hasn't budged from $3.79 for a couple of weeks now.
  • fezofezo Member Posts: 10,386
We're still slowly dropping which we've been doing for quite a while now. $3.47 for RUG Sunoco.

Have to see what's what in the morning, but the station that's usually the highest here had dropped 4 cents late this afternoon
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
going on here. Was able to fill-up today at the same Shell as last time for $3.80 - as reported Monday this station was one of the $3.96 stations with the $4 across from the job - this one dcreased to $3.87.

There are two competing stations, Mobil and Citgo, still at $3.96 while others decreased to $3.88 two.

Over the last 3 Shell fill-ups mileage has pretty much remained the same, +/- a couple tenths, as if I was filling up at the usual place.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
    Up a nickel to $3.84.
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
I bought gas at Costco on 6/30 for $3.59 and on 7/7 for $3.59. Our local Shell has been at $3.85 for the last couple weeks. Just waiting for the price to rise. All 3 vehicles full.

Been a strange couple of days. The station that's been hanging high had dropped to $3.55 while everywhere else went up to $3.59, then in the course of 18 hours the high station went $3.59 and then $3.65... at which point everyone else dropped to $3.55

My sister did bring me a couple of growlers from Otto's
1 is Red MO and the other is unmarked.
If it's the Double D IPA, I had better be careful.

Now that's REALLY weird as we just ate at Otto's yesterday. Kreskin a family member?? :P
  • explorerx4explorerx4 Member Posts: 20,723
REALLY, REALLY weird would be if you went to the 3 Dog Night/Commander Cody concert in Treasure Lake on Thursday, too.
MY sister went and brought me a Commander Cody T shirt.
The kids are coveting it. :surprise:

Stations on my route / near home have risen about a nickel since last reported. Was in the city and their prices are in the $4.10 range for 87 octane depending upon area, higher downtown Chi-town.

Was in Indiana and prices where pretty much the same as what I paid last Friday, about 5 ~ 10 cents cheaper. Even further into Indianapolis the prices were the same as along I-65.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,415
Paid $4.07 for Chevron premium yesterday. Little road trip coming up next week, no worries - E55 should be good for about 25mph highway.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Didn't need it then but did find some "cheap" stuff for $3.69.

Got company visiting overnight via float plane. Aviation gas for their little Cessna is running around $7 a gallon for them, although they can use marine gas that usually runs between $4 and $5 .

    Me, too! :D

After a low of about $3.47 when everything was dropping we're nwo up to $3.53 at the same Sunoco station.

Funny thing about that shirt. One of my kids was expressing interest in it, and now I can't find it. Hmm....

    I'm sure it just a coincidence..... ;)

Sudden big spread on prices - from as low as $3.53 to as high as $3.69.

Just filled the PU this morning. Same price as two weeks ago, $3.59. I noticed several ARCO stations we pass on our errands went from $3.61 to $3.65 over the last 3 days. Two stations we passed with diesel at $3.99.

Paid $4.05 for Chevron premium today.

Went on a little trip up to the Deception Pass area - mileage wasn't too bad, all things considered. Here's most of a one way reading, I forgot to take a pic on the other leg of the route:

    image

Not bad for a big old 5.4L V8 in a ~3800lb car with about 400lb/ft to let it loaf along.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
for me. Able to fill-up for $3.80 at the current usual Shell on my route. The others are running from $3.96 to $4 for 87 octane, with the Shell and BP by work doing the up-n-down. 1.5 days out of the week for the past 3 weeks they'll be $3.799 then jump up to $3.999. Bad thing is those days were different each week.

Add in this mini-heatwave we're going through and people's pockets are definitely getting hit with energy costs.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,415
Chevron Premium today - $4.03 in the sticks, $4.09 in the year 2011. Car got marginally over 25mpg on both legs of the trip, no complaints.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
was for $3.85, other places were in the $3.89 ~ $3.93 range. Prices in the city and close to the highway were $3.99 ~ $4.15 range, with downtown higher of course. A combination of regularly higher prices, Lalapalooza, the women's expo and Sade concerts.
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
My local Shell station was at $3.85 for over a month. Yesterday I noticed it is now at $3.79. Still 18 cents higher than Costco and no 5% with the Shell Card. Shell lost a customer when they got cheap on the rebate.

Crude is falling even if refined stuff isn't.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
Yes, seems to be a huge delay in petrol price declines but the increases are lock-n-step, sometimes with petrol jumping before crude...

But looks as though things are rebounding in the market
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
I was on the road for ~6 hours yesterday and found some BP for $3.73. Was going to buy (*gasp*) Citgo but they wanted to be paid before pumping, so I cruised through the parking lot to the BP next door.

Leaving for a long road trip in the morning and will be buying a lot of that pricey Canadian liter stuff. Looks like gas at Sault Ste. Marie MI is $2.78, while it's running $4.80 in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
Good luck on the trip - hopefully you'll be able to find petrol as cheap as possible.

Looks like I spoke too soon about the market... ...hold on kids, it's going to be a long bumpy ride...

Was able to fill-up for $3.77 at the Shell / Circle K. This, along with another Shell and two Speedways had the same prices, at least for 87 octane.

The other stations by home and work have either maintained $3.85 or increased to $3.89.

I saw $3.34 here in Burleson at the Exxon. That'll take a bit of the sting out of my next fill-up.
  • PF_FlyerPF_Flyer Member Posts: 9,372
    $3.63 in Happy Valley
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
Filled at Costco yesterday. $3.55 for RUG. ARCO across the street is $3.69. Shell down the street is $3.85. Does that mean the Shell dealer is making 30 cents more per gallon or the Distributor?
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
$3.59 in Rumford Maine. Cheap. :shades:
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,415
Paid $3.99 for Chevron premium today, same price as diesel.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
Was in the city over the weekend and the prices there are all over the map. They went from a low of $3.85 to a high of $4.13, didn't make it downtown but those prices are usually 20 - 30 cents higher than outside of the area.

Driving through Darien I saw a price sweep of 19 within a 1.5 mile length. The price at a Shell right off the highway was $3.96 but about a mile or so off the highway the price at the Clark was $3.86 but a Speedway a couple blocks up the road was $3.76.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
$3.74 at Vanceboro ME; haven't seen a station in NB yet to check liter prices here.
  • motorcity6motorcity6 Member Posts: 427
Since 2/2008 I have been a Shell user, guess the rebate was an economic burden on Shell's bottom line..Shell gas was always priced higher by a few pennies so the rebate was just a small incentive..Since the end I have tried Murphy Oil, RaceTrac, and Mobil, mileage is somewhat lower, so my bill will be about $125/yr more..No big deal..

Last price paid was Mobil premium @$3.829/gal..In Florida premium is priced about 26-30 cents over regular..
  • PF_FlyerPF_Flyer Member Posts: 9,372
Still dripping down... $3.56 for RUG

So you drove through Canada to get there?
Just did a quick mapquest. About 800 miles, further than I thought.

Sault Ste. Marie to Ontario, crossed back in the US where Vermont and NH and Maine all mostly converge. In Nova Scotia today. Will have to fill up this afternoon. :surprise:

Heard on the radio last night that gas prices expected to fall as much as 50 cents in the next 60 days.

My favorite spot was $3.259 this morning.

The Washington regime will quickly enact a $1.00 Federal gas tax for libs like the $4.00++pricing..Got to sell Volts and the other silly hybrid-type cars to "save the planet."

Low gas prices will be a short celebration for it ain't the right message..Couple days ago, I passed the Fiat dealership and they are loaded with the Italian flavor of "500", have yet to see one on the road..

I can get Premium for only 16 cents more than Regular at a low priced (for the area) Shell in La Mesa, CA (by San Diego), but unfortunately, CA gas is expensive, so I pay $3.91 last I checked for the V-Power 91 Octane in CA.

Which states have 92 or 93 still as premium?

Santee Costco was $3.55 and $3.75 on Sunday. Their premium runs good in my wife's LS400. Still CA crap gas. Some of the worst for mileage in the USA. Makes no difference which brand Shell, Chevron or Costco. Its the ethanol content I am sure.
