RUG = $3.35 at the Sunoco at Rising Sun and Longshore in NE Philly.
  • slorenzenslorenzen Member Posts: 694
Yeah, even though the per barrel price appears to be dropping, prices in Oregon have not dropped more than about a dime.

I'm still paying $3.77 for RUG. :lemon:

I noticed that on our trip through Oregon. Even with lower gas tax than CA the prices were high. I just filled here at Costco for $3.63. Cheapest in Oregon was Salem Costco at $3.62. Cheapest of the trip was in Carson City Costco at $3.57.

Gotta pay for those gas jockeys. :-)

Holding around $3.69 in town (that's down a few cents). Had to fill up this morning and got ~.17 cents a gallon off with my grocery coupons.

Did a 4 hour road trip (turning leaves, turkeys and two bald eagles) and the cheapest we saw was $3.47.

Filled up at the Flying J near Saginaw MI for $3.34 a gallon. And got 27.5 mpg on one tank. :-)

Paid $4.03 for Chevron premium yesterday, down 12 cents in a week, FINALLY.

Friend of mine was in NC last week, said he paid something like $2.90 there.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
was for $3.44. On the drive in this morning I passed a Mobil at $3.43, inline with the stations across from work - so I thought. A mile later I get to them and they had changed to $3.56 since Friday. Figured I'd go out at lunchtime to the Mobil before they changed too - to my surprise the Shell was back to $3.44 while the BP was still at $3.56.

Over the weekend was in the city and far SW burbs; prices in the city ranged from $3.70 ~ $3.80 for 87 octane, with premium going for $4.00 while the burbs were in the $3.52 ~ $3.59 range for 87 octane.

I was in the Charlotte NC area over the weekend. The lowest price for RUG I saw was 3.399.

Need to go a bit further south - saw lots of regular for $3.13 (!) in Virginia today, but the winner was a truck stop near Bristol TN for $3.10.

We had $3.09 last week - back up to around $3.15, but I'm through playing gas-price lottery. Going to do my monthly fill up today.

Still hanging at $3.45 here... of course, we ARE still in the midst of PSU football season. (Not that they raise prices when football traffic comes to town... NAH... that couldn't happen)

Yeah, people here in Chattanooga are talking about how gas prices are already creeping up again. Most stations off the Interstate are back to $3.27 already.

Someone told us in Chattanooga that gas prices were going up. When we got close to my sister's house in Virginia, I told her she should fill up since she had to drive me to Dulles today. But she was anxious to check on her cat. So we filled up Friday morning (at the station we had passed at 8 pm), and the price had jumped a dime.

Coulda woulda shoulda - cost her an extra .80 cents to fill up the tank. :shades:

Topped off Friday, then filled up Saturday, price went up 6 cents.

Just filled the LS400 at Costco. PUG was $3.95 RUG $3.75. Looks like we are headed back to $4 a gallon for some reason.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,415
Local Chevron is up 6 cents in the past week. Must be because of supply and demand, free markets, capitalism, and all that.
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
I see the OPEC Basket price is at $109. Up from $98 just 10 days ago. Probably the Saudis wanting US to see it their way about Iran.

It has remained steady for at least a whole week. About $3.20/3.40/3.60 is about the lowest I saw at a sunoco station just before the weekend, and I paid $3.64 last night for premium at a Hess. Mid grade was $3.48 and RUG $3.28.

Maybe the switch to winter blend as well :confuse: for the jump in prices (it sure as heck has been feeling like winter around here for the past few weeks overnight / early morning)...shoot, I shouldn't have said that, now they can use that for another excuse
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
was for $3.39. Others are running in the $3.44 to $3.55 range for 87 octane. Looking at my records petrol is running about 50 cents more than at the same time last year.

I saw on the ticker oil barrel price increased slightly today, hopefully petrol prices stay stable and not increase (better yet decrease).
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Went down two cents or so to $3.59 here.

I wouldn't bet on any large fall. There is a lot of wealth invested that wants to keep oil prices high.

Tuesday morning I had to take the wife to the airport for a 6AM flight, $3.49 was the going rate. Dropped her off just after 5 AM. When I passed the same station at about 5:30, it had bumped up to $3.55. When I passed the same station at about 6PM, it was down to $3.44

    Oh of course, just hoping.

Anyway, having decent weather today so filled up the Olds for one last drive before putting it up for winter hibernation.
  • fezofezo Member Posts: 10,386
You live in the wrong state. Here in NJ they can only change the price once a day...

    $3.25 and holding.

Gas is holding at $3.59 here but diesel is $3.97.
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
Noticed this morning prices along the state route I take in increased to $3.56 from $3.39. They were on a nice downward trend for a few weeks but looks like that's over.

Also I've noticed since my last fill-up for the DD it's dinking slightly more fuel - must've switched to the winter blend
  • jae5jae5 Member Posts: 1,206
was for $3.40, with most in the $3.56 range at that time. But most of these $3.56s have dropped back to $3.50 as of yesterday afternoon. Diesel is going for about a dime higher.

Not sure what E85 is going for.

Holding at $3.59 around here. Saw diesel down the road on a short road trip today that was $4.09 (!). Fifty cents more than the RUG was.

Oh, the E85 station was, iirc, $3.76.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,415
Paid $3.03 in Greenville SC today.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
"Lost" doesn't rhyme nearly as well.

Gas has been stuck on $3.59 for at least a month here. Today the low fuel light came on so I scrounged up the supermarket kickback coupons and added getting gas to the list of errands to run.

And of course, sometime this morning, gas popped to $3.64. I think it was still $3.59 when I walked to the library and thrift store this morning.

And the Outback is just about empty as well. So five cents times ~25 gallons; could buy a McD's coffee for that. Or two, depending on which one I go to. Good thing McD's coffee is free all week (regional promotion, YMMV). :shades:

I'd let the van sit for a while but we're driving to out of town docs Thursday.
  • fezofezo Member Posts: 10,386
You should have picked up your gas walking back from the library. :D

We've got $3.15 Sunoco. Come on down!

Hate when that happens, but we're holding at $3.50 range. Looking over my notes last year this time is when it bottomed out then started to climb just in time for the holidays.

Just suck up the free McD coffee. I went about 12 years w/o going into one until this spring when they had free Maple & Cinnamon Oatmeal - figured I'd try it since it was free.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Their coffee is a lot better than the stuff they used to burn little old ladies with. :shades: Still like Tim Hortons better among the fast food offerings.

Driving tomorrow, so guess I'll have to break down in the am and get some. Probably be up another nickel by then.

We're down in the DC area for a few days here. The lesson if always stop at the last chance in NJ still holds. it's 20 cents more a gallon here. So far still have half a tank. Maybe I can make it back before I have to buy any...... Not likely.

That's good. I've been off coffee for the last month or so (self-inflicted with an assist from the last doctor's visit). Haven't missed it this time around like last time - who knew after a 6 month hiatus the (decaf) mud / tar they pass for coffee at the office would taste decent. :P Still may patch my driveway with it...

Back on topic, latest fill-up was for $3.39. Got lucky as the other stations jumped to $3.66 on Tuesday - Wednesday except for the Mobil by work. It stayed at $3.49, until I had to fill-up last night, then it had increased to $3.59. So just waited until I got back to my area and on the way to get my meds my old standby still had low-priced fuel.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Never filled the Outback and gas fell back to $3.56 yesterday.

Today it was $3.57 (why bother?).

I really should get some gas soon. :)

(Diesel is $4.07 at one station here).
  • gagricegagrice Member Posts: 31,450
I noticed at ARCO out on the Interstate that diesel was 60 cents higher@ $4.39. Though that station is high priced close to an exit off of I8. My Costco is $3.65.
  • larsblarsb Member Posts: 8,204
Thanks for reminding me, Gary....I saw this weekend out and about that diesel was anywhere from 45 cents to 70 cents higher than RUG !!

    WTHeck?

This is why I could never be a day trader or stock analyst.

Yesterday I filled up the Outback for $3.57 a gallon.

Overnight the price went down to $3.49.

To add insult to injury, the station started enforcing their limit on the grocery coupons and wouldn't take the ones I had that were over a month old.
