As for the Dodge mechanics causing our truck's problem, no, they didn't. The torque converter was replaced in November by Anchorage Chrysler, so nothing to do with Gene's at all. I have a feeling its something to do with the transmission itself that's causing the problem. I'm pretty sure they are going to replace the tranny this time. Susan and Liz have been more than wonderful to us, I can't say a bad word about Gene's service department.
your frustration too. I will post more info as I get it. The story I got was that there is a high demand on the SPORT versions and only one plant was doing them.

btw, lasher5, look at my history list. doesn't at all jive with what you've said...
On a bright note, we did trade the truck for a 2002 Ram 2500 quad cab longbed V-10 with the 47RE tranny. I can tell you right now that the 47RE is much better than the 46RE.
From what I can gather from the dealer, the 46RE transmission is not too good for 2001, they changed manufacturers for the front pump and it has been causing mega problems. All I know is I was more than happy to say bye-bye to our 2001.
P.S. Now I can consult my owners manual!!!

THIS TRUCK IS AWESOME!
The paint quality on the new RAM is probably the best I've ever seen on a inherently domestic product -- ever! Everyone I've looked at has been flawless. They seem even better than the Tundras, in my opinion.

Where can I find my options for STEPS into the new Quadcab? Are there options or a chip that can swapped on the engine to increase power to compete with the Chevy?
At least, that's how I remember them...
List price before discount was $26,615 after all the rebates and dealer incentives I paid $19,998. Love it!!!!
