    Hi Car_man,

We all know that your credit score will affect the amount of your lease payment. Is there a set dollar amount that your credit score/tier should increase your payment amount?

For example, if Infiniti is advertising a $399 monthly payment for a G37 but it is for tier 0 only, can we figure out how much the payment would be for tier 1 credit, tier 2, etc?

I know I am tier 2 with Infiniti/Nissan so what is the maximum monthly premium I should be willing to pay on top of a tier 0 advertised special?

    Thanks in advance!

Personally, invoice + $1k rebate is more realistic realistic. The $2k for the dealer is probably at their discretion, so you may not be able to get much, if any of it on a lease. Money factor truly blows by the way. Not sure why you'd want to pay that kinda interest on your loan.

As I already said you can't get any of the $2k dealer cash on a lease. Infniti doesn't pay dealer cash on leases or special finance rates.

In MD, got a deal G37 following...

    g37 journey
    MSRP=42880
    Price=37999
    39 months
    $594 with nothing down.
I guess money factor will be .0025 and residual is 59%

    What do you think? Thanks.
  • realhawkerrealhawker Posts: 30
seems like an expensive journey model - is that every option possible?

first I would make sure you are at about $500 below invoice at least. Make sure your MSRP matches up with your options..

then go here and plug in your numbers to find our of everything is kosher...

Hi everyone, I just leased my 2009 G37xS sedan from Legacy Infiniti in Lynbrook on Long Island and I wanted to recommend them. For the cap cost in the lease, they went $500 under invoice price (on a car they had in stock) which no other dealers were willing to do and I emailed or spoke to about 10 different dealers in the NY/NJ/CT area. Most dealers wanted slightly above invoice price or more as the cap cost since they don't get $2K dealer cash. Legacy Infiniti also has a referral program that I'm willing to share with you if you say that I referred you. Please email me @ [email protected] if you want more details.

They were also willing to do a locate for a car with the options/color I wanted and were only going to charge me $250 more to get a car from another dealer, meaning $250 under invoice to get a car from another dealership. In case you're wondering why that's important, I'll explain. I wanted a black or platinum graphite G37xS sedan with certain "accessories" such as the rear spoiler, front chin spoiler, etc that can either be factory installed or dealer installed. The Infiniti website gives you the impression that these accessories are only dealer installed but that's not true. All of them can also be installed at the factory (or at the port) which means they are included included in the sticker price and when you're leasing it's always better to have them factory installed because anything that's in the window sticker is residualized as part of the lease which means you're only paying for the depreciation on those accessories. If the accessories are dealer installed then you have to pay for 100% of the cost (either up front or financed in the lease). Basically you have to pay 100% of the cost for anything added to the dealer as opposed to just the depreciation on anything in the window sticker. To give you an idea of the cost difference between having those accessories dealer installed versus factory installed....to have the dealer install the rear spoiler, front chin spoiler and midnight black grill was almost $2000 between parts and labor. If I financed that extra $2K in the lease, the monthly payment went up by about $60 or $65 over a 39 month lease. If the accessories were factory installed, it was only another $1200 in the window sticker (since there's no labor charge when they're factory installed). And since you only pay for the depreciation on that $1200 (plus interest), the payment would have been only $15 more per month. A $45 payment difference ($60 versus $15) for the same accessories is a big difference over 39 months - $1755. Basically if you have a choice between having the dealer install the accessories versus having the dealer locate a car with the accessories factory installed, it's almost always better to have the dealer locate a car if they won't charge you too much to get the car for you. This again is because of the way leases are calculated. In my case Legacy Infiniti was only going to charge $250 if they were able to get a car from another dealer with all the options I wanted.

Can you be more specific about the deal? Did you get premium and nav? How much down? How many miles per year? How much down? what was the monthly payment? Thanks!

Sorry, here are the details of my lease.

G37xS sedan with premium pkg, navigation pkg, technology pkg, sport pkg, splash guards (sport), trunk mat and trunk cargo net.

    MSRP $43,525
    Invoice Price $39,840

If you price out the same car now, it will be $55 more ($43,580) because in the past few weeks the destination charge has increased by $50 from $815 to $865 and the trunk mat went up by $5 from $100 to $105.

The only money I put down was a $500 loyalty credit from Infiniti since I was completing a lease of an M45. I put the $595 bank fee, $45 documentation fee and 8.625% sales tax (suffolk county NY) in the payment. I was lucky that NY state has a law that limits the documentation fees. All of the NJ and CT dealers had documentation fees between $250 and $330 and they claim it's not negotiable. That's just a way for them to pad their profit.

Now the cap cost of the car was supposed to be $500 under invoice ($39340) but someone screwed up the paperwork and it ended up being $280 under invoice so my cap cost was $39560. Since it was pretty late in the evening on April 30th (the last day of the month) to redo the paperwork, I had them throw in a midnight black grill accessory to make up the $220 difference. My payment was $539.39 including tax. Had they used the correct cap cost of $39340, the payment would have been $532 something. I only paid like $680 total out the door. That was my first payment and DMV fees to transfer my plates.

I don't know that you are lucky you that NY has that law. I would rather pay a $395 doc fee (what I paid) then have to pay sales tax on the entire purchase price of the car. In most states you only pay the tax on each month's payment.

Actually in NY you don't pay the sales tax on the entire purchase price of the car, just what you use like other states but it's calculated differently. I found this discussion online that explains it.

    http://www.leasecompare.com/lcforums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1830

Obviously I'd also rather pay a doc fee than sales tax but I have no choice :)

I live in Chicago and am thinking of either buying a used 09 G37 S coupe w/ approximately 9k miles, using snow tires and wheels for the winter, or leasing a new G37X coupe and buying the sport wheels to use for the summer. Which do you think is an overall better choice. I used to drive a G35 Coupe and absolutely loved it! I need another GGGGGGGGG...thanks for your help
  • 2009 G37X sedan with premium and nav.
    MSRP: 41325
    Price: 38500
total out of pocket was 1800 which included some fees
39 months at $525 (including tax) with 12K per year
    Purchase option 23,000

Any opinions on this deal? It seemed fair.

In Oklahoma City, dealer currently has seven remaining 08 Premium coupes in stock. I am just beginning to study the leasing game and am absorbing the info on this thread. My question: how much less should remaining 08s sell for, comparable to the 09s now on their lot ? Irrespective of what the dealer wants me to think is the MSRP, can anyone share what kind of discounts they are getting to purchase/ lease an 08 G37 coupe ?

[For those interested, my initial quote is below]
48-Mo. lease per my request (MSRP of this one $40,705) was $453/ Mo, with $3999 (plus TTL) at signing. Total payments over 48 mos would be $25,743 (+ TTL + fees). Clearly a horrible deal. I understand after reading this forum and other places that 39 mos will likely be to my benefit.

Trying to work an incentive through work to lease my company car for $2500 + TTL up front, $400/ mo x 39 mos. Seem plausible ?

    How many miles per year?
  • sam_ksam_k Posts: 117
It was 10K miles per year with the 58% residual. 12K would have increased the payment by about $10/month.

No one owes you an evaluation of your deal. You could take it upon your self and view the recent deals others have received to see how your deal matches up instead of expecting people to do it for you.

That being said this looks like a good deal considering they are paying your last two lease payments. I calculate invoice around 38k for the car, you are getting it for 37.8k. I can't calculate the payment because you didn't supply the tax rate, nor the term.

I am not sure where to post this query, so I am sorry if this is not the right place.

Just got my loaded G37x Sedan 2 days ago and love it. Just trying to figure out the center portion of the liquid crystal display (LCD), on the dashbooard. Next to the gear shift indicator, for example, "P" is displayed when the car is in park. Right next to that is a smaller "A". What does that stand for? To the right of that there are 2 sets of digits. One seems to represent the permanent odometer, and I thought the other represents the trip odometer, but that doesn't seem to be so, because that is located just above and that resets when the elapsed time resets.

Can anyone shed any light? Thanks to all in advance.

I never claimed that anyone owed me anything. Nor do you know what my expectations are.You asked for the details and I posted them and thought it was strange that you never made a comment. Obviously I can look on here and compare it to other deals but that is not the point. Why ask me for the details if you don't want to 'evaluate' the deal. Seems pointless to me.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Posts: 1,051
I didn't ask for the details. I just told you no one can evaluate a deal if they don't know the selling price. Then you got upset because I didn't respond.

I'm in CA. looking for price on a 09 G37 Journey Coupe with Prem,Sport, Nav, Spoiler, & wood
What's a good price? From what I see here it seems $2k below invoice.
Also interested in 36 mo 22k-25k mile lease. Zero down (just firstmonth drive off). I tend to flip cars every 3 years, and what the lease factor and residual would be.
  • Thanks jps1010. I'm glad that you enjoy this forum so much. Here's the information that you are looking for. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 G37X Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00123 and 56%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00141 and 55%, respectively. If you were to lease this car with only 12,000 miles per year its residual values would be 1% higher.
