Do they really think people are that stupid?? :confuse:

And they finance folks with poor credit..Those folks are going to be in financial disaster.

Look at the bright side, Maybe they will give GG 25k for his Tahoe!
It would be interesting to know what they are trying to do. Obviously, their prices are very high, maybe they figure there's no harm in trying.
Also, it is annoying that you have to contact them to get the "special sale" figures, kind of makes you wonder what the prices are if they are listed! Attractive web page though, nice bright warm (yellow and red) colors.

One more price--couldn`t resist-- 02 Chrysler PT Cruiser with 101k miles -12k with a down payment of 3600.Clubbing a baby seal!!Actually the real prices are closer to the estimated down payment rather than the total price!!Amazing!!
The mom and pop stores and places like this survive because they can get people into cars for $200 per month. When you *NEED* a car to get to work, things like 96 months and 15% financing are irrelevant to these buyers.
So we may laugh at this site - but they are more than likely selling cars to people who can get paper at your typical dealership.
I’m sure of that but they probably allowed you to come back. :surprise:

Really? I've got a ruler sitting here on my desk and I find it very hard to believe that a mouse's skull is <= 1/8 of an inch. That's a really narrow gap.
Then again, he's writing his own paper. And, he's selling $3K cars for $10K.
He says his repos are also at a record high.

You'd be amazed at what a mouse can get through. When i was in high school I had a few mice. Had one in a cage with pretty tight bars. He was gone in no time. Amazingly he went to live under the stove and would steal the cat's food for close to half a year before we caught him again. Kept him in a terrarium after that. Lived to be over 2-1/2 years which is pretty amazing for a mouse.
Yeah, and it’s because of you that I decided to buy it. Now I’m thinking of taking some of that Ford money over to GM. That move might get me but it’s probably worth it. Anyway, it’s not my money it belonged to Ford. Ford has already said something like “GM is too big to fail, the rest of the auto industry needs them to keep our suppliers going”.
You better hurry before there isn’t any left for you. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

We can survive without Chrysler but we need GM to stay alive. This 9 week shut down they are talking about scares me.

I took the Toyota to my regular Toyota dealer [very nice dealership,BTW,been going there for atleast 6 yrs now]. He told me that the smell was due to condensation in the a/c, and asked me to drive it for1 or 2 days with the fan in the blower made and not in a/c mode and to switch off both the a/c and recirculate buttons. And it would dry out the vents and other parts,,and if it did not solve the problem to come back.
Yesterday night,in my garage,I was looking in the truck`s interior.I was sniffing every nook and cranny.[[I was feeling like a dog,,never realized my sense of smell was so good!!Guess, necessity is the mother of invention!!] I removed the carpets and cleaned the dash and panels-- smell still there.
I was frustrated and then sat on the seat and went close to the mirror to have a look at my irritated face and voila,,the smell instantly hit my nose real bad. :confuse: Well ,guess what !!!! It was the leaf like air freshener hanging from the mirror. It was the exact same smell. It waslisted as pine tree scent! I could not believe it.It was staring at my face all the time and I was looking all around. The leaf for some reason,,maybe oxidation due to air etc, started to give this smell.
I immediately removed the leaf and detailed the interior thoroughly with Meguiar`s Quick interior detailer,,took it for a spin and everything is great now.Called the dealer, told him about my discovery and we had a good laugh about it...
So next time , u get a bad smell ,u know where to look. :P
I love a happy ending...
I never hung anything from my mirror. Fuzzy dice, girly pictures, air fresheners (that ain’t), etc. I always felt that would be distracting to my driving to have something jiggling around like that. Now you know not to do it too.
So next time , u get a bad smell ,u know where to look.
There never was a first time. See above.

Were you born old ????
My High School Driving Instructor (this was back in the days of bench seats) used to say, that if you're in a car and you have one hand on the wheel and one arm around your girl, you aren't paying enough attention to either one!
According to the news today, they plan on laying everybody off and going fishing for two months
It's official.... GM is going to cut each of their overstock cars in half and give each employee 1/2 a car to use as a boat anchor while they are fishing (for those that don't fish, they can use them as lawn ornaments). Plus they get most of their pay! :shades:
GM figures that this will spur sales in the boating industry. :P
Keep that up and I’ll see to it that your dues are jacked up.
On second thought, I’m going to have the ‘jipster’ pay you a visit and yank out your last remaining hair ! :P

got a question for you. for the last week or so, i have been occasionally emailing the local dealer about a specific vehicle.
they are asking a pretty high price and don't seem, so far, too willing negotiate from their original offer.
the salesguy is really, really, young, and i think the older guys are putting him throught the ringer.
i am eligible for x-plan, so if i do that, does greenpea get anything?
basically, i'd like to give him a chance to make a sale, even if it isn't for a lot of money.
the vehicle is not my wife's first choice, but one she would be happy with.
btw, so far, they have given quotes on 2 vehicles which were different ones than we wanted prices on.

While it still reported a loss for the quarter, of $1.4bn, this was better than analysts had forecast.
Is it just me or does this seem odd?
These days a smaller loss than expected is a time to celebrate.
Guess it is the times we live in

Blue Coral Wax was once mentioned in a popular song.
What was the name of that song and who sang it?
Extra Credit if you name the year it came out.
Please, no cheating!
Its always been that way. The market reacts to what is expected, when the actual results come in and they are better then expected the stock almost always goes up. Conversely if the news is worse than expected the stock almost always drops.
Try looking at any other time when a loss for a major corporation came in less than what was forecasted and 99.9% of the time the stock gained on the news.

we made an appointment and went over to drive a 4cyl limited.
overall, it was much quieter than our current 04 and seat more comfortable, but the engine was kind of noisy for my wife. Then she drove the v6 and the vehicle was quiet and the engine was also quiet.
when the sales guy came back with a price, before he could say what it was, I had already gotten an internet quote on the 4 cyl, i said are you ok with x-plan?, i don't really want to do a lot of back and forth to work tou a price.
he said, 'x-plan?, yeah we are ok with that!
other than a couple misc items, vin etching and a preprinted doc fee, we had no issues, so it was a good sales experience and i think we are going to happy with the new escape. now the kids are debating who is going to get to drive mom's old one.
we ended up with a decked out black/black limited, nav and all.
How did you handle those?
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
as far as the doc fee goes, if you use x plan, my understanding is, it is not supposed to get charged, because ford rebates some amount to the dealer.
there was a bit of back and forth, but they knocked it down from 349 to 75, so i said ok.
maybe i shouldn't have paid that 75, but i wasn't going to start a war over it.
it was a skinny deal for them, but i think they were pretty happy they sold that particular vehicle. it was the highest priced non hybrid they had.
we think we are going to have some fun seeing how long it takes for people to notice my wife is driving a different vehicle.
The year was 1963 when Jan and Dean were on top of their game.
" Blue Coral wax job sure looks pretty, gonna take my chick and go to Drag City"

Hey! Way to go on the new Escape. Nice easy deal and it sounds like a nice vehicle.
OK, which Jan and Dean song was heavily influenced by a J. S. Bach chorale?

Maybe gas at 4 or 5 will push these sales.Folks are slowly going back to SUV`s.I guess some folks never learn. :confuse:
But from the reviews I read,,it seems the Insight has a really noisy and rough ride compared to the Prius.Have u driven it ??What`s the general opinion and consensus? Are folks really excited on test drives? Will it be a Prius beater or will it end the Hybrid Civic way?? :shades:
Are there any backlogs or is the inventory adequate??But the interesting this -Insight is classified as a compact whereas the 2010 Prius is a mid size sedan. :surprise:
Isell and all u folks--Your thoughts?? :P
Congratulations on your new vehicle. I wasn't sure if you got the V6 over the 4 and if you got it for the same price as the 4 from the internet quote.
Escapes are getting good reviews, getting them more and more refined.
I like the way you bought it, some background work, had in mind a fair price, went in and negotiated no muss no fuss, you're happy, you're wife is happy, the dealership should be happy. Enjoy!
***One other thought and this is my opinion only, but I welcome comments. I have always thought that if a 6 cyl is offered it isn't usually much more expensive than a 4. Although the 4 should be more economical to run, I think the 6 might last longer, it will be quieter and smoother, it will have extra power when you need it. And, it is a much better alternative especially on American cars where 4 cyl engines have not been perfected quite as well. When I got my 92 Cavalier I tried both and the 6 seemed like a real car, the 4 was pretty crude IMO.
