Chevy Cobalt Accessories & Modifications
Recently I purchased a 2005 Chevy Cobalt Sedan. I absolutely love the car. The only problem isthat it is the most basic model availabel. Now I want to upgrade the radio so I can have XM without having a clunky unit sliding around next to me.
How would I go about disassembling the dash so I could pull out the existing radio and replacing it with the upper level XM radio?

And please note that we don't want you to post your email address right here on the public web page where you are subjecting yourself to all kinds of malicious intentions. There's a note to that effect right over the post box.
So, please, fill us in on how this can be done...
Thanks,

Any help would be great.
btw, CAN you change your shifter knob in the '06 cobalt? If so, please explain how.
Thanks.

Hey, I just got my '06 Cobalt LS 2 weeks ago, and I LOVE IT! I was wondering if there were any websites dedicated to cobalt accessories or aftermarket parts? Or, does anyone know of any websites that offer those? I was looking to get some sideskirts, front/rear bumper, stick shift knob, spoiler . . .ect.
Any help would be great.

How does those two suspensions change the performance of the car.
Which one is better?

Can I add a start function? Can I add a GM module and change key fobs?
I just bought the 07 Cobalt Coupe LT. I love the car. I was thinking about putting tint on the rear window and back seat window. I heard it looks stupid tinting them without tinting the front windows. In NY it is illegal to tint the front windows and I don't want to get any tint tickets. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you all. Drive fast and give'em hell.

Only reason I'm thinking about spending money on the car is because I only pay for the insurance (including my dad's) and will probably have this car for a good bit of time.
You can buy engine parts through GM, which has a special engine/accessories catalog available where you can buy every engine part needed. The catalogue costs $20 or more from the parts department.
A new key ring ? I have a receiver in the car?
It should be wired.
Can I get on from a wrecked car.

I have a 2007 Cobalt LT and I am looking to put fog lights in it. I saw that you did this yourself, so I am wondering where did you go to get your wiring harness, lights, etc. I will have to get the different bumper inserts too. I got off the phone with my Chevy dealer today and they said that if you put them in you will have to reprogram the computer so that it knows that the vehicle has fog lights, and that they can easily do that. I hope that kind of helped you with your question. I appreciate your help!
As far as I know, the most obvious solution is not made by anyone, so this is a piece of advice to anyone (like maybe the Hurst company) who might want to make such an accessory:
I need a shift knob with a forward offset of about 1 inch. If possible I would like a short T-bar knob, wide enough for a two finger grip, but this is not important. The important part is the forward offset.
