What was the problem with the transmission? It seems her biggest complaint is with the service.
Couldn't find the crank shaft problem on the web site.
i just wanna ask about the "Maintenance Required"
LED at the bottom of the speedometer.
when does it light? does it light whenever i
need an oil change?
Thanks
beatfarmer: from http://www.thecomplaintstation.com/ i clicked
on H on the line "Find a Complaint Station by letter"
then clicked on Honda then "Honda CRV crank shaft problems"
is the 7th post.
Yep, there it is. Weird, I looked for it but didn't see it the first time. If they had a working search function it would make life easier. Thats a weird problem. I haven't heard of that one before either.
I bought the car at Mel Rapton in Sacramento, but live down here now. I've always had great service with Rapton & wanna make sure these guys will provide same.
Thanks for any reviews.

hesitation can be a sign of clogged fuel, aqir filter, spark plugs out of gap, plug wires that are shorting out, distributor cap that shorts out. or just bad fuel

for your CR-V? Can I go to Canada and have one of
the dealers there install OEMs?

I don't know why Kia doesn't sell the Sportage Grand here in the US. They offer a V6 and a stretched wheelbase in Brazil. Go figure, you don't think Americans want those?

O2 sensors, if that's what he meant, are really a serviceable item that some people replace at the 30k mile service. That's no biggie.
You can blame ODBII for the check engine lights. Emissions controls are tight, so any tiny variation triggers the light, even a loose gas cap. I'm not sure if yours can be reset somehow - perhaps the regulars here can help you.

This big plus for standard is the pep in acceleration (especially for interstate on-ramps). But how good is the Honda clutch? I've needed to replace the clutch in my F-150 every 50,000 miles or so. The clutch in my old Plymouth Horizon and Fiats were even more temperamental.

as far as honda clutches, they have lasted some people over 200 000 miles.
The HR-V looks like an EV to me. It would make a good hybrid.
These are the most realistic looking spy sketches we've seen to date. Keep in mind they are just shetches, though.
As for information, you'll have to wait. You can probably be sure that the CR-V will get the same treatment as the new Civic (trim levels should be about the same, mac struts, stiffer chassis, better crash test results,...). Look for a variant of the 2.0 i-VTEC engine under the hood. How big is anyone's guess.
Dudka - There are no suspension or engine differences between the SE and other models. Your experience with the 5 speed may have been simply over-inflated tires, or something.
Pros for the 5 speed - More pep, great gear box feel (for an SUV), and better mpg (I average over 25 for mixed driving). Cons would be - Higher RPMs at highway speeds (slightly more noise) and, of course, you've got to row your own gears.
My seats fold pretty flat in both directions. :-)
Someone mentioned getting the half clear tail lights to help with appearances. I recommend the all red ones, myself. A GoongalaGoonga sticker also helps.
I'd say more, but I feel sleepy.
from autodynamic.com ???
where else can i buy them ground mirror?
i'm really interested because city-parking
requires skill and excellent distance judgement.
i want to learn how to get out of a 1" space
between front/rear bumpers...
Sorry. I haven't tried the ground mirror. You might try the ad pages of C&D, MT, or R&T for retailers other than Autodynamic.com. I don't recall seeing them on any other web distributer's list.
Good luck. And let us know how it works out.
Tianc - Both the EX and SE models have the folding bed feature. Only the LX model does not. The design was intended for use as a bed, but it also makes a great way to cart around long items.
Take a look at this page.
But if you want to see something derived from the Accord, here's a link to the Honda Avancier. It's a wagon, but from one angle, it looks like a lowered RX300.

i think i do understand why so many cr-v's are pulling to the right. these are made in japan, and they drive on the left side of the road. with the roads being designed to have 2-3 degree slope to let the water run off the road surface to the side, i think when they make a car in japan they set it so it drives straight on the left side. when we drive on the right side the slope adds to the right pull. once again this is just a speculation. any thoughts?
front wheel tire presures were way off.
would it be good for me to have the alignment
checked by a non-dealer then compare the results
w/ the owner's manual... then if there is a
significant difference, make the dealer fix the
alignment referring to the warranty?
or am i not making any sense?
I'd take the alignment specs posted in the fixes and modifications thread and try another mechanic. Even if it's just a different dealer.
In any case, get it looked at right away.
