    Where did you have the cluster fixed? I am in NYC and looking for a GOOD dealer. I can travel and looking for a the best repair shop..ie Audi dealer.

    I have electrical cluster problem on 2000TT. I had alternator and battery fixed 10 mos ago by foreign motor garage but they now say I have to do to dealer.
    I can travel if someone has had this fixed in the general area.

    I bought my almost new TT a month ago as the 2nd owner with just 27Kkm.
    Few days later started to notice that the suspension malfunction light is on and at that point the drive mode select button (sports or comfort mode) stops responding. Local dealer spent almost 4 days trying to fix the problem but with no proper results yet and i am starting to worry now. Any idea guys....?

    The exact same thing has happened to my 2001 Audi TT. I have more mileage but it seems to be exactly the same issue...I was driving down the highway and the car started starving for fuel and shut off. It will turn on for about 5-10 seconds and then shut itself off again. I have checked ALL RELAYS, the fuel pump, all wiring that I could think of. I cannot find the problem. Did you ever find out what was wrong with yours?

    I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM MY TRUNK AND PETROL CAP ONLY OPENS SOMETIMES DID YOU SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. AUDI TT 20001

    I have had the same problem. My key remote was not working. So i had it sincronized with the car and now all is working again.

    That was a nightmare that lasted months. No one could find out for sure what the problem was. They replaced every computer in the car to no avail. My car ended up totaled because of that. Good luck

    AS SOON AS MY KEY WAS RESYNCRONISED MY PETROL AND REAR BONNET COULD OPEN. PROBLEM SOLVED.

    My 2001 audi tt 225 will not stay running warning light says inproper key. It has happened before but after a few tries would start but gauges died for 20 minutes or so and clock and date reset to aug 7 1998. Any way to fix i live about 2 hrs from closest audi dealer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Did you ever find out what this problem is? My 2004 is doing exactly the same thing - slowing down, lights flashing and finally stopping itself! HELP!

    That's the immobilizer chip in your key. You'll have to get a new key and have it programmed. This is usually a dealer only adventure unless you know a locksmith who subscribes to Audi's programming for $200/month---not likely but you never know. Figure on about $400 bucks to straighten this out.

    Hey... I really appreciate the detailed message about the faulty instrument cluster. I just purchased an 01 Quattro 6spd and my fuel gauge is off by a half a tank and also my ABS flashes for no reason. Ironically, I am pretty positive you have had a million replies. I was just wondering, do I have to go to Audi to prove that it's faulty? What exactly do I need to prove this? I know, for a fact it has not been replaced already. I would really appreciate any help with this!! Thanks

    I really like the Audi TT. I had a 2001 Convertible 225 HP and it has been great but it had limited interior space and I sold it. Then I bought Audi TT Quatro 225 HP (same) Coupe black colour. The electric issue started. It killed my driver's window. Replaced it. Electric problem moved to dashboard. Fixed it. Electric problem moved to ESP (Electronic Stability Programm). Car is driving me crazy from the moment it started. Changed batteries and now problem is in Alarm System. Don't ask. Every service costs around 500 Euro. My advice is that we should either get rid of them or replace the whole thing partialy. Does anyone had any similar issue or knows how to eventually get rid of the electonic issue?

    Hello everyone. I recently bought a used Audi Quatro TT with the same electrical issue I have read from all of you. Only difference I noticed is the radio will not shut off when the car shuts off. This first made due think that to radio was draining the battery so the car would not start. Has anyone else noticed this same problem?
