If he did they'd never let him into the Alfa meets.

Somehow, deep within myself, I feel I don't ever have to drive a Caprice station wagon in order to know what it is.

There are some wagons I like, though, but that's another topic.

I just find it amazing that a 6 year old car can still command upwards of 90% of its original value. You have to get one that's abused (150k+ miles) for the price to drop to around $12k where you'll probably find most Caprices, if not lower.

davied99... Check out all the Impala SS clubs and the plethora of aftermarket products. There are a lot of enthusiasts who love the platform. And there are a ton of inexpensive ways to boost its performance.

...would be lower than that, though. Back in October '99, I looked at a '96 that was well-equipped, with the 350, and only 36,000 miles on it for $13,860. They also had a '94 with the 4.3 V-8, and 65,000 miles on it for $8260. I balked at the price back then, and couldn't imagine paying almost $14,000 for a 4 year old car that was out of warranty, but maybe in retrospect, the price wasn't so bad?
