  Ah good mod! And not having sway bars isn't dangerous as long as you don't think they're on there before making a nice brisk maneuvers, which is what you were talking about I think. Once you get used to the body roll and don't drive it like your Porsche, its really not that bad.

  I have zero inclination to buy a Jeep, but I love this post - improving a vehicle or any tool/appliance to improve it and make it work the way you want it to work is cool

  Why is it so dangerous to drive on the road without the sway bar connected?

  Generally, a vehicle will oversteer much more than you want with the front stabilizer bar disconnected. Front bars are generally pretty substantial, so the reduction in front roll stiffness would be significant. It'd be especially dangerous if you had to swerve suddenly.
