Chrysler 300M won't start

my sister-in-law gave me her old car she took the car to get a oil change and it wouldn't start back up. I do know it was overheating. We changed the crankshaft that did nothing. changed sparked plug did nothing. What should I do? Do you think the alarm has anything to do with it? Thinking about dumping it.

    We'd need more info.

    First off, what model and engine?

    How badly did it overheat? Did it "boil over" (clouds of steam, etc) AND did SIL keep driving it that way for any appreciable distance, to get off the road or some such?

    when you say it doesn't start, do you mean it 'cranks' (starter motor spins the engine) but doesn't run, or do you mean you turn the key and there's nothing?

    Well it's a 2001 Chrysler 300m 3.5 engine. And she didn't drive it when it started over heating that I know of.  

    When I turn the key it acts as if it want to start but nothing so yes it cranks but don't run

    Under back seat there is a connector the leads to fuel pump. It's on passenger side. There is one tab in this connector that will corrode over time. You will know it when you see it. Chrysler has a fix that involves replacing the tab and female portion. I opted to bypass connector and wire defective connector directly bypassing connector altogether. Even though it's a ground still tap well with 33 black electrical tape. Your car will suddenly get the gas it wasn't getting earlier. Easy check is continuity check on either side of connector.
