2006 Chevy Equinox LS Won't Start

My step daughter brought her Equinox to me because it was overheating. I replaced the thermostat and now the vehicle won't start. The only thing I did, during the process of replacing the thermostat, was unplugging a sensor so I could get the plastic engine cover off of the top of the motor so I could gain better access to the thermostat.

Once I finished, and was sure I put everything back the way it was, the vehicle won't start. Any ideas?

    We just realized that the vehicle, with the engine off, rolls when in drive and reverse. What does this mean?

    That's normal. Otherwise, what would happen if your engine died while driving?
