Transmission issue

Edge, 2003. 250K miles, runs excellent. Problem, when transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd, about 35 mph, Engine revs high, overdrive light starts flashing, vehicle stays in 2nd gear. You must let up on gas, and it may shift in to 3rg gear. Drive and runs fine from there up to 80 mph+. Problem is in Transmission, WHAT IS IT?

    At 230,000 miles the transmission its probably worn out. Best get to a good transmission shop.
