2003 Volvo XC90 T6
Considering buying 2003 Volvo XC9 T6 with only 25K for $4900 but have been reading that those models from that year have transmission failure, is it true or is it still a good buy considering the low mileage? Thanks you.

The complaint record does seem to suggest transmission problems with this car but the failures seem to have happened over 100K miles, which, in my opinion, is hardly a "defect"---it's called "old age".
Best thing I could suggest is to have a Pre-Purchase inspection done on it, and have a pro at least examine the transmission fluid.
With that low mileage, sometimes you have as many problems as with higher mileage cars---cars don't like to sit.
Can't complain too much about the price if it's really clean.
Volvos of that era as a rule never had superlative reliability ratings anyway.
My vote on this one is "a bit risky but not foolish".
