I have a 94 Rodeo sport that needs a motor I have 98 motor what kind of proplems can I expect

What kind of proplems can I expect and hot tips to make it easier or other parts (wiring harness or anything else )that I need to get before I start. I 'm also putting in a new clutch, any info would be appreciated thanks

So in your case, I'd advise you to go on the Isuzu-Rodeo Forums, register, and find the proper topic to ask your question. It's always best to talk to someone who has already done what you're planning to do.6 -

Agree 100% with Shifty's advice. One obvious issue: The '98 had OBD-II computer monitoring of engine sensors, the '94 didn't. So incompatibility of engine electronics is a big possibility.5 -

Oh definitely he's going to need the brain box and wiring harness from the '98. Unlike with some cars, I don't think any aftermarket company has designed a modern and programmable F.I. system for it, as they do for older American and Japanese cars. Those are pricey anyway ($1500 on up).
Sometimes it's easier to just find a used motor, or to rebuild what you have in there.5
