Rapid clicking noise with engine off. Could this be anti-theft?

Hello
My van started making rapid clicking noises even when off. This also caused the battery to drain,
The noise also stopped when the battery died, but when charged the noise comes back

any suggestions? I thought it maybe anti theft because the red LEDS on the dash boards started flashing rapidly instead of the usual slow cycle they are on when the van is locked. But they kept this even with the van door opened. I also do not know what happens when antitheft it triggered so I can not be sure. Thank you

Sounds like some relay gone amok. Can you track down the source of the clicking? You might need a wiring diagram or at least an owner's manual. I'd start of course, by exposing the fuse/relay box(s).
