2008 Santa Fe - Put key in and turn and nothing happens

If I have posted this in the past I am sorry but a few things have changed. About once every 3 weeks I put the key in the ignition turn it to start and I get nothing. All the lights on the dash go one, everything works but the car does not even turn over. Whether it be in neutral or park it still wont start. After about 7-10 minutes it starts up like nothing happened. I have had the ignition switch replaced thinking it was not reading the key. Didn t solve the problem. I have contact Hyundai and they say it could be a million different things. Any ideas??

It could be a million different things. Assuming the battery is good I might be taking a look at battery cable connections, it takes a ton of power to start the vehicle and if there is an issue with connections it could cause troubles. I have had similar thing happen with one of my vehicles and it was indeed cable connection issue

I would do what is called a "voltage drop test" on the battery cables. YouTube shows you how. This is better than just cleaning the battery posts because it tells you the internal condition of the cables.
