  i have an 06 trailblazer she is going on her 3rd rack an pinion why will she not hold them and they break

  Are these factory replacements or aftermarket? Remember the brand name?
  
  What exactlyl "is going bad" or "breaking"? If the rack is literally breaking apart, then either the mechanic has no idea what he/she is doing, or the parts installed are rubbish.
  
  But if it's a matter or leaks, or bushing failure, that could be related to other things.
