07 saturn vue shaking , mileage reset

so i just bought my 07 saturn vue from a relative and the car needs to be inspected but when i went for the diagnosis one said that it was running too rich and the other said that someone pushed the numbers back on the vehicle so my question how would i reset the mileage that that i can detect the problem for the inspection??

    I *think* you mean that someone turned off the check engine light without fixing the problem that caused it to illuminate. In that case, the inspector can't run a proper smog test until the car resets itself--it's not in a "ready" state, and you'll need to complete a drive cycle.
