my 2003 liberty has an oil pressure switch that when the motor starts.. the oil pressure rapidily built up and cut the
oil switch..but oil light stays on....ive changed the pcm but still is the same problem...the pcm sends 5 volts to the
oil pressure switch....what could it be the problem?

Have you tried to pull the wire off the switch and ground it? If your light goes out, then at least you know the wiring circuit is good and in that case--one of two things: a) the sensor is bad, or b) you in fact have low oil pressure.

Might be a good idea to insert a manual oil pressure gauge to see where you stand.

i cut the wire off and ground it, the light goes out for a about 5 seconds or so, but i have to codes p0522 and p0523...question is....if the oil pressure switch is only a switchable one or it has the capability of giving values of resistance...my jeep manual has only a symbol for it of switch

Have you researched for any TSBs on this vehicle--might be a good idea before digging too deeply into this. I still think that a manual guage needs to be inserted to determine what's going on---could be low, or even high, oil pressure problem.

the oil pressure switch is closed when engine is off and open when is the engine working.. i am not sure if it should be close when te engine is working and open when the engine is off.. i will perform an oil pressure test and see what is happening
