How to fix a low park brake

I have 2008 Ford Escape XLT and i have to press the park brake all the way to the floor when parking in a steep hill any ideas?

Or the brake shoes for the parking brake could be worn out

Or the cable could be stretched out.

I won’t since it’ll be easiest thing to check out and fix

The brake shoes were replaced recently so ill check out the parking cables
