My 2004 town car remote entry puncher won't open door/trunk etc. It would help to know what fuse it

Before trying to chase down an electrical gremlin, have you checked/changed the battery in the fob?

By "door punch" are you referring to the driver's door outside key pad?

Yes,now I am, as I re-programmed the puncher ; the door key pad doesn't respond to the factory setting.(although the lighting is on)

Then the key pad might be failing. With a scan tool that supports the security system you can monitor the data and see which (if any. ) Buttons are recognized when they are pushed.

I don't think my OBD 2 pocket scan will work. I'll go to AZ and check it. THANKS

I would not expect what Autozone uses to work either, not saying that it won't but there is a big difference between professional level tools and what the average consumer has available to them.
