Teeth cleaning, wax Sienna, wax OB all in past 2 months. I look at my smile reflecting from the wax jobs.

BTW, I used Klasse for the first time. To all of you who recommended the product(s), thanks. The waxing went so quickly I couldn't believe it. Next week, I'll apply the sealant. I won't, however, have my teeth cleaned again for another four months!
Don
Dentist early summer, wax (2 coats) mid summer both cars.

Will check tires tonight!

Klasse sounds promising, but I think I'll finish this bottle of Zymol first.

Contemplating how OCD could possibly be contagious through a computer modem...
Cheers!

That reminds me. I need to wax between the doors, hood, hatch, etc before winter really sets in. Trying to decide which rubber mats I should get. LL Bean ($40), WeatherTech ($90), Husky ($70) or Subaru ($40). Mainly concerned about coverage.
Greg
Its a bit of work but come spring when I take it out, no salt stained carpet, no stinking musty smell of wet carpet, and no worries about a corroded floor.
Perfect peace of mind for about 3 or 4 hours work.
Cheers Pat.
How's this for OCD: I *always* kick off as much snow/slush as possible before swinging my feet into any car I ride in. Sometimes I even take the snow brush and completely clean my shoes/boots off. Sure they're a bit wet, but the snow/slush doesn't accumulate and melt on the carpet.
While I really like Pat's idea about *sealing* the carpet, I think I'll be OK with some decent rubber mats this year.
-Brian
Chat tonight, anyone???
Cheers!
Paul
Still off topic. Got this off company e-mail.
"Subject: 1969 Cadillac De Ville Convertible for sale
Got a great 1969 Cadillac in driving condition (white with red interior) up for sale. Top is in good condition, engine runs well and the car is a real head turner."
Didn't ask for more details, but I was told he is asking $4K. E-mail me for his addy if there's any interest.
Yellowbikedon- welcome back! Hope the day and days to come finds you and your wife chirpy.
KarenS- still no luck accessing via *cough#work%cough* pc. There'll be maintenance done to the firewall this weekend. See what happens then.

My mouth is still touchy from where I had my teeth polished this morning. What's waxing?

You can close your eyes for miles and rest on the Jersey Tpk., the road is straight as an arrow
Actually the Jsy Tpk is a boring drive. I fell asleep at the wheel one time and if it hadn't been for a truck driver blowing his horn, I headed for the concrete support on an overpass.

Our smiles may be crooked, like this :-}, but at least we're smiling at the shine on our paint!
Great chat. Really wacky. If you haven't been in a while, check it out some time. Topics vary so much, it's totally unpredictable. We were talking about mountain biking/kid carriers a lot last night.

I have to say once again that the Subaru crew is just like an extended family.
Cheers Pat.
Mats - I would like to get the WeatherTechs, but think the $90 price tag is a rip-off. I remember seeing them for $80 only a month or two ago. Supply and demand? The husky mats (www.autoanything.com) looks like the same mats for almost $20 cheaper. Subaruparts.com has the subaru mats for $35, but they only come in black. The LLBean mats look interesting and they show it in an.....LLbean OB. They appear to cover nicely.
Chat - Once again, sorry for missing it last night. Getting the Sienna ready for the trip to Disney. Last night - new wipers, cleaned the battery terminals and replaced the air filter. The filter was much dirtier than expected so I removed the entire housing and washed it. OCD strikes again.
Greg
Sandy will get a nice bath this weekend. She's back from the body shop, looking all better with a brand new rear bumper cover and taillight, but otherwise filthy.
The wife's car is going in to check that oil leak and front-end whine on Monday night (main seal suspected). I may take a peek at it myself this weekend, but I don't expect to be able to fix it.

I gives the neighbours something to laugh at when I have the interior of my car spread all over the place, I can just hear them saying that nut is at it again.
But seriously it pays off in the long run I have done this with just about every car I have owned.
AN added benifit is most manufacturers run wira harness,s under the carpets and salt corrodes the hell out of them leading to shorts and bad connections.
Cheers Pat.

The wheels are in a 48mm offset, quite light (under 19lbs in 17" size) and cost about $570 for all 4.
Stephen

But they're inexpensive, so even that is a small risk.

First though, I need to decide between Dunlop Winter Sport M2 or Blizzak LM22 for my "winter tire" to be mounted on my stock 16" WRX rims. I want to get this done before my sis and her family get here from Indy. They want to go over the Cascades for X-mas. Anyhow, either performance winter tire choice above will perform in the dry/wet better than the RE92.
Stephen
Never mind, the same tires with Prodrives will set you back about $1600-1800. Ouch. Then again, I'm a cheapskate.
All that and you can't autocross in the stock class because of the bigger wheels.
Are the prodrive wheels forged?
-juice
That's a good bet, but don't get too eager in the dry on performance winter tires... you'll wear off all the edges and your ice performance will be lessened dramatically.
-Colin
Juice: Its tough finding a reasonably priced, light but strong, good looking, and correct offset wheel for the WRX.
Colin: I hear ya. Mainly want the option of the winter tires. I have the aforementioned trip across the Cascade pass in Dec and a trip to Whistler in Feb. It's funny though, the last two years in Feb that I went to Whistler the Sea-to-Sky hwy was clear....go figure.
I plan on getting the 17"wheels and tires in the spring.
Stephen
Price is right which also has to count for something.
Cheers Pat.
Thanks to the WRX, there are now a lot more choices for aftermarket wheels with our offset, so it benefits other Subie owners too.
I graciously accept the OCD award. I promise to wash it at least weekly, wax it quarterly, and cover it with plastic for the winter, plus keep it in a climate and humidity controlled room all year long and...ARGH! I can't stop! :oO

BTW, don't go flossing your teeth w/the OCD award. :-)
Great job Serge!! LOL
