  Also, I currently have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 coming off lease. My buyout is around $33k (36K with tax). My bank is sending me a check to purchase the vehicle and the lease lender is sending me sale paperwork. I am interested in pulling equity out of the truck. Dealer is offering me $47,800 cash for the truck or around $11K cash. I could potentially sell the truck directly for more but would have to deal with tire kickers, scammers, test drives, etc...
  
  My question is this. Are there any hidden expenses with selling the truck to the dealer? I'm not trading the truck in. I want to make this 2 separate deals. Deal 1 I walk away with a check, deal 2 I negotiate a sign and drive on the Tradesman (Need more truck for house remodel)

  You should be able to use the current truck as a trade in and have the dealer cut you a check for the equity you aren't using. Two separate transactions are not necessary - and, you may be able to skip the part where you buy the truck out of the lease, too.
