New X5 was revealed, with manufacturing expected to begin in April. What is the earliest it can be available for purchase and can it be preordered? Thank you

    Sorry, we don't have any information about availability. But, they are assembled in SC. If they are truly starting in April, I'd guess you could order starting in March, at the latest

    I chatted with the dealership in Scottsdale and they are taking orders for the 2024 X5 now and said they expect to start receiving them the end of april/beginning of may.

    I’ve talked with two dealers in two areas of the country. Both say ordering is available. They are not, currently, crediting the lease with $7500 like they do with the iX…. Yes, you can configure an X5 for less than $80k….

    That may be due to the uncertainty of the IRS rulings on the eligibility of some models...

    There is definitely uncertainty. BMW is giving a $7500 lease benefit for the iX and we all know the iX is priced well over $80k. My SAs said the car will qualify for the tax credit. Whether you can take the credit or not will depend on the AGI levels on your tax returns for 2022-2023.

    If you lease, you can't claim the credit. The only way to receive it, is if BMWFS passes it along as a rebate/incentive.

    Agree. Just curious to know if BMW is passing it along? Currently the SAs say no…. Other manufacturers are doing that. I’m curious to see what specials are available in April.. Thanks. Love this forum

    March programs for BMW expire on 4/2, and the new prorgrams will be released on 4/3...

    kk gotcha... I ordered one a month ago and it looks like its going to be here this weekend as per my sales rep. It was dispatched from the factory today, as per MyBMW website.

    I’ll bet that MF is marked up the maximum allowed.

    If the quote was from last month, then it's likely the money factor has dropped from .00185 to .00165. (but, yes, your quoted MF is still marked up).

    I received the lease offer below from my dealer (zip: 08540) today for 2024 X5 xDrive 40i, 12k/36m

    MF: 0.00205 (0.00185 with high credit score)
    RV: 51%

    .00165 is the base MF for the month of April.

    So, they're still screwing you, just not as much.
