Spark plug wire resistance

kberthakbertha Member Posts: 1
Is there a rule of thumb for determining the
appropriate spark plug wire resistance? I have a
multimeter but am not quite sure how to set it or
what the reading should be.

I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 3.3L engine and 18,750 miles on the odometer. My questions are:
    1. How long should the factory plugs and wires last. One parts store said, "don't come back until you have 100,000 miles on the van".
    2. Are the factory wires good, and are there other wires that would perform better? What gains would I expect to see (i.e. gas mileage, performance, reliability, etc.)?

    Any thoughts!!

I have found the factory wires to be as good or
better than your pep boy or auto zone "life
time" wires.I have also had good luck with using
a accel brand ig coil to replace your stock coil.
I have had this eliminate problems with hesitation
and rough idle.As for wires I have found "magna
    core" brand,they are available at"www.howellauto
