As far as the down payment goes, consumers can always lease any vehicle without making any sort of down payment. In fact, it is to your advantage to do so. The reason why most manufacturers advertise leases on vehicles with down payments is again to entice consumers with low monthly payments. BMW almost always advertises vehicles with $2,500 down. You definitely should lease the car that you are interested without putting any money down. Of course, doing so will result in a slightly higher monthly payment.
If you have the option to pay the tax on your car at lease signing, rather than to bake it into your monthly payment you can reduce the amount of money that you spend over the life of your lease by not paying interest on the tax.

Could you please give me all the lease numbers for the 2003 Volvo V70 T5 Auto Wagon? I'm interested in 12,000 miles per year for either 2,3, or 4 years, depending on which is the best deal. I'm in Southern California, if that helps. Thanks!
Ben
I am looking at 36 & 39 month lease with 15k per year. I am also interested in the cost of purchasing some additional mileage upfront. I f you could provide me with the cost per mile I would be appreciative
Sorry for the incomplete info - Mazda6 S, 36 months, 15k miles or 12k. TIA
Thanks for the reply. The MSRP of the car that I am looking at (including the options) is $31,575. The Edmunds' TMV price is $30,706. The Invoice price is $28,945. What would be the residual and the money factor for a 36 months/15,000 miles lease? What is the monthly payment is going to be if I don't put any money down?
Another question that I have is about the fees that I have to pay at lease signing. There are many different fees that I saw mentioned, which include destination charge, acquisiton fee, prep fee, license fee, VIN etching fee, etc. Which of these fees are mandatory and which fees I can refuse to pay?
Thanks for your help.

As far as the fees that you should have to pay go, all manufacturers require consumers to pay a destination charge on new vehicles. This charge is usually added to vehicles' MSRPs and should have been included in the prices that I used to calculate the sample lease payment for you. Similarly, almost all banks that lease vehicles to consumers require an acquisition fee to be paid. BMW Financial Services charges a $525 acquisition fee on all leases. It also collects a security deposit equivalent to your vehicle's monthly payment rounded up to the nearest $50 increment. As far as any other random fees go, rather than let your dealer nickel and dime you to death, negotiate an out the door price that includes all of the fees for the car that you are interested in. By doing so you won't be surprised by the dealer trying to add all sorts of fees to your deal after you have already negotiated a price. If you feel as though the total out-the-door price that you have been quoted on this car is too high, comparison shop at a couple of other dealers on your area for out-the-door prices to see which one offers you the best deal.

Thanks for the info for 12,000 but I also need the money factor and residual for 15,000 miles on a 39 month lease. NY
Thanks
RXKE
Thanks for your response. I thought I included the selling price in my post but it is $21,750. This is definitely over both invoice and Edmund's TMV. I asked the dealer about bringing the price down closer TMV but he said that TMV didn't include advertising or dealer profit, and that's why they were so low.
Also, the monthly payment includes tax, I think. Only first month and security fee are due at signing.
Thanks in advance,
Nale
What would be the corresponding residuals and lease rates for the 2003 V70 2.4T for 3 and 4 years (12K also)? Would it be the same as the T5? Thanks!
Ben
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for the info. I don't know how you keep up with all of our posts. If you happen to run into the res for the G35c for april than let me know.
I am looking for the MF and RV for the ES 300 lexus. 12k - 36 months and 12k - 48 months. When you give the values is it for perfect credit? Where would a fico of 666 fit in? Also, do you know what the fleet sales discount would be? That is the price I would pay.
Thank you,
nbm
THX!
Sorry for the confusion (see post 6175). I'm looking at both the 2.7T & 3.0 quattro with 15,000 miles. I'd like to compare a 36 & 39 month lease. Thanks
First post here and am looking for some advice. Can you tell me where I can find some general information on what factors should be considered whether one should buy vs. lease? In my case it will be a Lexus RX 330 4wd, with Performance Pkg and Navigation, negotiated price will be $44,000 + taxes, fees, etc. I need to consider whether to lease, pay cash or to finance a purchase. With my last four car purchases I've paid cash, but I'm intrigued with not having to bother with selling the car after about 4-5 years, which is the usual length of time that we keep a car. I've never leased before, and want to see if it might make sense in this case. Since this is a newly introduced vehicle I don't think Lexus is offering any special financing deals right now, which may complicate the decision some. Any ideas? Thanks - JB
Could you please post the April money factor and residual value info for a 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan (no nav) for 36 months/12K miles/yr.
Also, in your experience, do you think that these numbers will change very much in May?
Thanks!
I'm considering leasing a luxury SUV. I'm looking at the 2003 MB ML350 and Volvo XC90 2.5T. can you tell me lease factors and residual values for 36 and 48 month terms, 12000 miles/year? I live in Huntsville, AL.
Thanks!
Kevin

Thanks for the info. I currently lease a 2.7T and the lease expires in a few weeks. I am aware of a $2000 Audi loyalty incentive this month. Please let me know if that is correct. I appreciate your help as I am going to try to make a deal this week for a new Audi.

I see a lot of information on the board about 325i leases, but not 330i leases. If I want to lease a 330i for 36 months at a purchase price of 39,100 with 10k miles/year what would the residual and money factor be? What should I expect as a monthly payment with $0 down?
Thanks,
Chris
I am posting this for a good friend who is trying to decide between the 325 and A4 and would like to calculate the monthly lease costs.
Details
3 year / 36 month lease
10,000 mi/yr.
2003 model year - both 2wd and 4wd versions
what are the respective residual values?
and money factors?
and lease acquisition fees?
Thanks a bunch,
Xmonger
2003 Saab 9-3 arc 6 spd.
2003 Volvo S60 2.4T w/ sport pkg
2003 Jaguar X-Type 2.5 manual
Is there any lease cash or other incentives on these vehicles? Any others in this class that are good deals at the moment. Thanks for the help.
To the best of my knowledge, Saab is offering $2000 lease support on new 9-3 Linear/Vector but NO Arc...why do you think they are holding it off on Arcs? Do you think it's going to be included in May incentive package? Just looking for your humble opinion
Well, thanks for your advice on the misleading dealer! That certainly sours me as this is my first car-buying experience. But, I have had some more positive contact with other dealers, so I still have some hope of getting a fair deal. Thanks for all your help. Hopefully in a few days I will have a better deal to post that you can evaluate!
Hoping you could help.. I have a 2004 330 ci on order. I was wondering what the residual and money factor is for a 12,000 and 15,000 mile and 36 month lease for this month. please help. Thank you.
If you're too busy, I'll understand.
I am looking seriously into leasing a 330i soon. Do you know the current residual and money factor for each of 10k/36 and 15k/36?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards.
For example, suppose the car costs $40K and the residual is 50%. Does that mean the lease buyout is $20K plus some minor processing fees?
Thanks.
Please let me know when you will have the money factors and residuals from BMS FS for the month of May on 2004 BMW 325Ci. I will be ordering my car in the next couple of weeks and would like this information before I order to be sure the figures I get quoted are correct. Is there any way or anything I can quote the salesman as to the source of my information to ensure I get what you say is available? Anxiously awaiting my new car!!!
