Nice looking car, but it could be hard to fit 4 people, unless I cut someones legs off, since when I adjust the seat, there is negligible leg room. So either my legs or my sons legs might have to go.
2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.
I don't know the color or area, so I will wing this one .. it's a GLS, V6, El Tonno in miles, cold pack - you say it's nice and clean except for the 23 visits to the dealer .. trade side in and around the high $6's, low $7's ... try it down Retail Rd, $9,900 in the paper and kiss it goodbye at $8,0/$9,5 which ever comes first .... miles just Flat kill these .. sorry
It seems their numbers are a little ascued ...

Just when I thought that I had sold all of the vehicles ...
2002 Volvo S80 2.9 A Sr 4dr Sedan
Color: 443 Moondust Met
17" Arrakis Alloy Wheels
Cold Weather / IAQS Package
Volvo Navigation System
21,500 miles
The interior is clean. The exterior has had a "close encounter of the Bambi kind" but it was repaired properly and I can't see any damage.
I will be sending this vehicle to the auctions. It is located in the Chicago Northwest suburbs.
What are they going for these days???
Our 1994 Chevy broke down yet again and is going to cost around $2200 to fix.....this time, we have dropped $1200 into it just last week.
We would have the money to fix it, but have purchased a trailer for our business.....thus depleting our savings.
Anyway, our credit union has approved the refi on the Explorer since according to Nada it still has a fairly strong book. We are looking at having a total loan of around $7800 on it.
Soooo, what's it worth?? 1997 Ford Explorer Limited, V8/AWD, purple/gray, 50k miles, auto, pwr everything, pwr sunroof, am/fm/cass/cd changer, knee deep in rubber and other than the recent wind damage (going to be fixed next week) its in excellent shape for its age/miles.
Thanks.
Terry ;-)
I figure its got 150k on it, so its entitled to break down on occation, I just wish it would know when to say when.
Ok, let's say it's a great job, let's say the auction is super busy, let's say that Pete and Repete don't open the hood and they gotta have it .. it should do the ultra high $22's, low $23's (super clean before the run, right.?) .. make sure you get an early run #, then let her rip and let me know.
Terry.
Not trying to be a smart a** or disrespectful, but is there any 10 year old Chevy worth $3,400? (With the possible exception of a Vette....)
Sorry, but when I read that posting I really had to question the wisdom of spending more than a couple of hundred dollars to keep that car running.
Its a good truck, just has some problems. Low book on the truck is about $6200. I'm not thrilled about the mechanic bill, however, its cheaper than replacing the truck.
Presently own 1994 BMW 325, 84K, very clean (minor door dings)no accidents, all maintenance. Other info: 4 door, burgundy, automatic, leather seats, onboard trip computer, 6 disc CD.
Looking to trade for '03 Highlander AWD 6 cyl, with options MSRP $30,116, Invoice $27,073 (includes delivery and TDA of $500). Dealer wants $26,200 minus $6300 for BMW for total of $19,900. Is this a good deal? I believe trade in is low, thought it was closer to 7500-8000. Also read in another post about $1500 manufactures rebate but heard nothing about it in deal making.
Any help would be much appreciated (so I can sleep). Thanks.
Miles are kinda ok, color is good for the area, if it's super clean, service is 110%, deep rubber, no rust no-repaints, no science experiments in the interior, looks feels and drives like 40k .. then trade side, you should be seeing around the high $5's, low $6's .. looks like the dealer is working hard to earn your business at $6,300 - "that's all the monies" ... so rest easy and enjoy the new Yota.
Terry.
None really ~ except for those clean Suburbans, 4x4 S10 pickups, Impala SS, 4wd Blazers and of course those silly Dsl pickups ...

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't sinking myself. I know that back in July the Saab dealer gave $10.5K for it, but its got almost another 10k miles on it now and of course the lovely wind damage.
I certainly don't want to trade it in anytime soon, but wanted to be sure I could sell it quickly on my own if the need arose.
I sure hope our stupid Chevy chills out after this, goodness. Gotta have a 1-ton to pull our trailer, so kind of have to fix the silly thing.
I'm just glad the Chevy is paid for and I had enough equity in the Explorer to pay for the Chevy's mechanic's bill.
Guess with cars you have a choice.....car payments or mechanic's payments.

Do you have any Canadian reference that I could access to get a handle on the possible private sale price for my wife's car?
We live near Toronto, Ontario and purchased her '97 Subaru Outback Limited new in July 1997.
Here is the car:
'97 Subaru Outback Limited
66,000 original km.(41,000 miles for our Southern friends)
white with black leather, automatic, heated seats, power steering, brakes, windows and door locks.
AM/FM cassette
NO sunroof or CD
This car has been dealer maintained every 4-5000 km. and has brand new Michelin X-Ones. Has had all the required work and more to keep her "baby" running like new.
It has been rustproofed annually and has the odd stone chip (touched up) and has escaped any door dings. The car is truly spotless inside and out. We are retired folks so there are no freedom fries stuffed under the seats or dog barf on the carpets.
It would be a shame to let such a creampuff be turned into the dealer for a new one. There are so few used Outbacks for sale that it is really hard to get a handle on a price.
Any thoughts? Feel free to tell me to take a hike and go back to my room if this is a waste of your time...I understand.
Thanks, Terry.
Doug
We won't tell (honest.!) .. you haven't been sneaking up to Alaska to see are little snow queen Aka have you ... ? Beau Coup miles going on here .. XLS, V6, 4WD .. I dunno about $14,0 and I don't what auction reports he's been lookin' at, maybe the one in Bulgaria ... ? $12ish seems to be about all of it, $14,0 will buy the ones with 35/40k ... 70k ..?
I dunno, but God bless ya if you can get it .. that's a long drive to Bulgaria though.

where do you live and why are you selling it.? color .... ?

Good little vehicles, miles are strong for the year .. dealer probably has in and around $10ish and some change in it .. sounds like their trying to do some "Bidness" see what $11,5 will do for ya, then see if that $11,9 will settle the debate, all goes home happy ....
Terry.
Any idea what the trade in values might be?
JoeP
I've done 9k in 10 weeks on the Explorer, good thing it was super low miles to begin with.
Color: Pewter, neutral
Reason for Selling: I buy a new vehicle every 6 months using GM employee discount, regardless of circumstances. Prefer to trade in on another new GM vehicle using GM employee discount - I did this on the last two vehicles - usually lose no $$ on the deal, sometimes make a little $$ - it depends on the rebates available at the time of trade in at 6 month intervals. October 14 is my 6 month anniversary and my target date for trade/sale. Trade in vehicles always have only 2,000 -3,000 mileage range, so resale should be at the top end of the range. (I have an old beater pickup I drive on weekends - new vehicle is only a to/from work commuter vehicle - hence, low mileage.)
Also, I am looking at quadsteer on the new vehicle. Does quadsteer hold its value in the resale market, or should I pass on this option?
Thanks.
KBB says about $12K, but with the all-new '04 model out now, I feel that the true trade-in value is only $8-9K. Can someone help?
99 Toyota Solara SLE - V-6 Auto, leather, moonroof, alloy wheels, premium sound, CD changer, etc. Pearl White/Charcoal. Mint condition, only 25K miles. Los Angeles area. Thanks!

Down Retail Rd, the books call for some big money, but $49,9 in the paper and pounce on $48,0/$49,0 .... bought one in silver last month, 14k and all the stuff "baby doll" type, paid $48 and it went bye bye at $53,0 ...
I hope this helps ...
Terry.
I wish the mileage was from traveling the USA, all highway mileage to and from work for the wife. They've offered 12K, I'm going to try and get them as close to 13K as possible, first and last Ford, nickel and diming us like crazy. Looking at an 04 Tundra!!
Great description, thank you.! .. the miles are low low low, auto, great color anywhere, the service is 100%+, sounds nice, clean and cared for, new round things, cold pack ..
Don't know what the market might do in Canada, but it's gotta be worth all of $7,5ish (*American money), and probably more towards $8,0 from any dealer from Milwaukee to Boston, Great vehicle down Retail Rd, *$9,999 in the Toronto press and *$9,5 sends it off to Vancouver (long drive.!) ... "Landru" is a Canadian Salesperson and would probably have a more accurate shot at this one ...
Box cutters ..? gheeez, it's hard enough to get my golf clubs on a flight now ...
Terry ;-)
Re the '97 Outback...dealers here are getting LARGE bucks (Yeah. our Canadian beaver bucks, I know) for pretty clapped out Subaru's. One dealer was asking $15.9 for a '99 regular Outback (not Limited) with cloth seats and a handshaker, that had 226,000 km. on it. Asking and getting are very different, but it seems that Subaru's sell well even with hi miles up here where the snow can get nasty.
Think we will see what unfolds as we get closer to changing cars. Guys who service the car at the dealer are always asking me if we want to sell it.
Going to give it a 300 km. run today. I live on a golf course and it is a little too cold to play this morning (32). Trying to hit a Tiger-like 4 iron and drilling it off the heel of the club in cold weather makes my teeth ache for a week.
Thanks again Terry.
Doug
Happy Voting ..!
Terry.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit if you could get a lot more than $9,999, especially this time of the year ..... wasn't my boy Tiger lookin' good yesterday.? thank goodness he took lessons from me .............. cough.
