Located in Pittsburgh or Cleveland, trade and private party.
We can sell it in either place, if the market is right, since her family is there.
I'm still not sure how this one would fly, but I'd rather have an idea before suggesting it.
With a replaced door.. what happened? If there was any work done to the pillar it's considered frame damage, that can make a huge difference.
Between that and the color combo I would be at $9k on it, if it was JUST a bolt on panel replaced and the Carfax was clean.
If you live in an area that gives tax credits on trades, take that into consideration as well (IE don't do something silly like sell it to your buddy for $15k, don't laugh, we've had people do that).
Private party... Ask $16900, I wouldn't take less than $16300
Soo... the wife is happy now?

The door was damaged when my brother-in-law backed into it on his driveway. It was just the sheet metal damage, $1200 in repairs.
Your $9000 is right in the middle of what I am seeing. Hyundai store started at $6000 and moved up to $8500 with $900 discount on a Tucson limited.
The Subaru store started at $9000 and moved up to $9800; they told me that it is all the money. I am still negotiating on their Outback.
One interesting thing both stores told me was that with 75K on the clock, they won’t be able to finance my car and will have to wholesale it. Is it true?
Sounds like a really stripped out model... no premium package?
Also, any paintwork?
It's not in the books that dealers use yet, but assuming no options.. it's a tough sell.
Capital One will give me 60 months on that car for a buyer with decent credit, so will Wells Fargo.
Regardless, the color combo hurts it, that interior color is VERY tough to move, and I used to work for an Acura store.. it's like the kiss of death on a TL.
$9k towards a new Tucson Limited and $900 off is a strong deal, we're pretty close to sticker on Tucsons usually, they are tough as heck for us to get.
That said, not sure its worth flipping at that price. She bough it new 2.5 years ago. Might make sense to hang onto it for another year or two and eat up some more of the depreciation curve.
There. I fixed it for you.
Friend of mine at BMW said he bought one recently. 5k miles, Black/Black, loaded to the teeth for $42k. He'd be $37k on your car, all in and if it was in the wrapper.
West coast prices can be higher though, but $35k isn't outrageous... what's a stripped one going to retail for? I'd think $42,995 ask, take $41500 or better.
Gotta love Sir Fezo!
First time: Jumped okay, dealer said to drive it (I humored them, it was 3 degrees out when it happened).
Second time: They said it was a bad battery. Bought a new battery.
Third time: They said it was the negative ground wire. Replaced it, all good.
Fourth time: Reporting that there is nothing wrong, just a dead battery. They juiced it up, say its fine with no parasitic draws.
I'm not buying it. Looking into filing a grievance with Mazda corporate.
What are you looking to get in its place?
You do know it is an I6 & not a V6, right?
Have you tried advertising it for sale in the bimmerfest classifieds? You might find an enthusiast looking for a stripper 335is.
Good luck & let us know what happens

Fully loaded with navi and dvd res with three headsets.
Seller says no accidents and he is the only owner.
Any thoughts on what private party and what the trade in value is?
I really appreciate it.
Pricing is tough on these, Galves is $20,800.. but these can bring $22-23k at auction, if it was yours I would say to not take a penny under $25k and to ask $26,500
Check VERY carefully with BMW Financial, some banks will allow a lease transfer, but some will also make the original lessee responsible in case of a default.
Jump dead car, unhook cables, car goes dead.
This is almost certainly a blown alternator.

The quote I've gotten so far range from 13000-17000, which seems kind of low to me.

We'll see what Mazda says (probably nothing).
Seller is asking 22,500.

If they had a dealer's license they could ship it to Adesa auction in Framingham and get their asking price, maybe even more.
Buy that right now, even if it needs tires.
20" custom wheels? Take them off, sell them on craigslist and put the stockers back on.
Exhaust? Ditto.
Stuff like that scares some dealers.
She's so excited that she drove to work this morning with the top down, and it was 46 degrees here this morning.
Well Steve - there's always NH. Good part is no sales or income taxes. Bad part is high property taxes - oh and it's full of Massholes on the weekends.
In the '80's I used to work in Boston, had to fight every day to find a parking space, then go out every hour or 2 to feed the meter. I was sitting in my little Toyota P/U on my break one afternoon, & these 2 guys with NH plates pulled up next to me, very angry that I wasn't pulling out, & began threatening to "beat the cra**p out of me" if I didn't. I didn't leave of course, but I do have a slightly diff. take on who are the ----holes.
The taxes here in Mass. are high--my property tax is nuts, but that's b/c I live in an expensive town. And the 5% income tax is a real drag. Good news--the excise tax on my 11 y.o. bmw is $111--just one good reason to own older cars here.
There's FL, with really low taxes--having lived there tho, I'd MUCH rather live in New England & just pay the blasted taxes (& heat bills, & endure the blizzards...). Ask me again in January tho.....

Figure real upper 16s...
If it was an SE the 17s might hurt, but not a limited Turbo.
Also, there is a $1500 rebate on 2011s and only $500 lease cash on 2012s... plus the 11s have a real nice lease program still.
.00038 and 53% for 36 and .00063 and 46% for 48
I'd snap one up if it were me.... What might be hurting them is the lack of a pano roof on the 2011s.
Im off on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings... mid day, mid week, = good.
If nothing else at least I can see what good things you are up to.....
Part of me thinks it's silly to worry about when I'm heading in the hospital for a few months as soon as a donor shows up. OTOH this when to buy a convertible from a price point and it's a good show of faith that I'm gonna get through all that. While I'm laid up I can let the Mrs. drive it once a week or so and keep it waiting for me...
