I'll assume white.
You say fully loaded, but I'll assume no 4matic since you didn't mention it.
With those details in mind, probably about $22k-$22500 trade.

Funny... I was just pondering one of these myself if I sell the 540. Sounds like you wouldn't suggest it.
Anyhoo... more like mid $7s at auction for a clean auto with those miles. Probably some options, too.
So ... where does that leave yours? Horrible place for a dent. That can't be cheap. Steelies and handshaker. I'm thinking $5k on a trade would be generous.
Heck, if it wasn't for that A pillar, I might be interested. I prefer no slider and the wheels are easily cured. I'm surprised it is such a rattle box. I found the first-gen Matrix to be rather pleasant.

I've had the 540 like a whole 10 months now. An eternity!
I like it ... its just getting to be a bit burdensome having too many cars demanding my attention. I'm thinking of selling that and replacing it with an appliance.

How much could I reasonably expect on trade-in? Assume the price of the new car will be aggressive so no extra profit there to inflate trade in value.
Surprisingly, there are a glut of these at the auctions. You can probably expect offers around $14,500-$15k.
Add about $1200 for the V6.

Just curious as to how inflated BMWFS 64% residual is. I think the buyout on my car when the lease is up 9/14 is $26K.
2001 Prelude Type SH, 2022 Highlander XLE AWD, 2025 Camry SE AWD
Is that the value of the vehicle or next year's fuel bill?
Soo... what was that? A $42k car? Yup, pretty overinflated.

I'm going to have a big decision to make when the lease on my beautiful, titanium silver, 328xi comes up. Bargain really hard to try and get one of the many dealers in my area to sell me the car at auction price just so they can "punch a sale through" without reconditioning. Say I buy it for $22K plus tax. I'd be financing the purchase, plus be on the hook for a set of shoes, and buy the extended maintenance.
I could lease some sort of appliance (Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion) & save a couple hundred every month.
I could buy a Passat TDI SE & have a big car that gets stellar gas mileage.
I've got time to decide.

Why wouldn't you just lease another 3er? Are you afraid (monthly payment wise) that you wouldn't be able to duplicate the lease you got?
2025 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 / 2023 Mercedes EQE 350 4Matic
I have been looking for a 328xi wagon and found one nicely optioned (almost everything including Sport package, but no nav.) and my wife likes the color. She won't have black as I live on a dirt road and everything is dirty, but dark colors are the worst. It is a 2009 and has only 3,250 miles (not a typo). It is CPO and Dealer is asking $32,850.00. Is that high in light of a sedan with 50K miles trading for about $22k? Wagons seem to be quite rare.

I would be nice if you can negotiate with BMWFS and then get a dealer to certify it for you. If you could pay $26k (assuming used prices remain steady, which isn't likely) for your car with CPO, you'd be in good shape.

Closest I can get for you is one with 20k miles that went for $25,400 at auction. Add it transport and fees, then CPO it, add a decent profit, and you'd probably be looking at $31k.
This has has 17k miles less. If we use the Galves calculation of $125/1k miles, its worth $2125 more. $31k+$2125=$33,125. hey, look at that!

Yeah, that is a pretty sweet lease especially with the mileage you need.
I like Q's idea, but may be tough to get a dealer to bite on that.

I love my 1999 Wrangler, and I definitely wouldn't by a JK older than 2012. The new V6 is a LOT faster and gets better fuel economy to boot. The down side is the price.

You are right Roadburner, they aren't cheap. Go to the jeep website & try building one. The Sahara is what I'd want. The Rubicon is OVERKILL & once you put a hard top on the Sport, you might as well get a Sahara with a few options to make it a liveable, everyday vehicle & the MSRP quickly balloons into the mid-upper $30s.
Of course I'd have to drive it first. I see so many of them around here, they've got to drive pretty good. Everybody who has a Wrangler LOVES IT!
When the lease is up on my BMW, maybe they'll have zero financing or a nice lease deal with a cheap money factor on Wrangler Unlimiteds.
Have you driven a '12 yet Roadburner?

Not yet; I hate to test drive one when I have no intention of buying. My 1999 is still looking good running strong so I really can't justify buying a '12. I only put around 5000 miles per year on it so any saving in fuel economy would be obliterated by the acquisition costs.

The lease on the BMW 335iS runs until November of next year.
And [ clearly ] many things could change between now and 14 – 16 months from now. [ When I will face a similar decision = buy the car, or walk just away . . . ]
BMW just today released details of a 135iS. The engine is the N55 ‘ . . a single twin-scroll turbocharger.’ Not the N54 with 2 turbos, as in the 335iS. And the TQ increase is nominal, to 317 – with no mention of an ‘overboost’ feature, which boosts TQ in the 335iS to 370.
Point being, BMW appears to be moving in directions that do not appeal to me, personally. [ Electric power steering, less TQ, etc. ] I doubt that the 335iS will be any sort of ‘collectors edition’, from a value standpoint – but it is beginning to look like 1.5 years from now, aspects important to me in BMW’s driving dynamics may be gone . . .
The 335iS is now at just over 8,000 miles, and I am really enjoying the drive.

I know what you mean, but people have said this about every new small BMW to come out since the '70s. Come to think of it, they've said this about every new 5 series too.
2005 Odyssey EX-L. light green/blue/gray (slate blue? something like that). usual EX-L stuff (leather, roof). Will throw in the XM roadie set up (woo hoo!). Also comes with a Honda OEM trailer hitch (not wires or anything, only used for a bike rack).
73K on it. Never any accidents, so I assume clean carfax. Good shape overall, all maintenance records, 1 owner. shows the usual wear and tear of minivan life (some minor dings, some wear on the interior). Should clean up OK with a serious detail. But, not major dents or anything.
need a realistic # for a dealer to offer, and what you think would be reasonable to put it out on CL for (doesn't have to be a quick sale, so I can be patient and greedy!)

we were thinking about trolling it our through craig's to see if any fish were biting, and if we get a high number, cutting it loose then going shopping. Just need to go out and test drive the options again to make sure we know what the wife wants, and about what it will cost!
She did seem to like the CR-V and it certainly would be a fine option for her. And it is a solid 2' shorter than the whale (what I affectionately call the Odyssey).
trades are easy, but having the cash to slap down is nice. and after wandering the back lot at the honda dealer last night, they have a lot of cars, and plenty of CRVs. Plus, it is "Honda 500: month, and they want to deal!

You don't need an extended warranty on a Honda. If the dealership is pushing it, they're trying to rip you off.
Pay off the Jeep, sell it for cash on Craigslist, and buy an older Prius if operating costs are a concern.
$2,000 for a Honda extended warranty? No doubt they're pushing that...they're making a ton of money on it. Plus they've piled on $1,500 in dealer add-ons to an economy car....I would just avoid them at all cost.
I'd love to know what garbage the dealer has added to this Civic to justify a $1500 pack.
What is "Dealer deposit of $1k $1,000"??
Forget the extended warranty. I don't even understand how THEY can consider it. I mean, they have to get approval on a $28k loan for a $20k car in this economy? That would be a trick. And watch out for that interest rate!
Look, if the Jeep runs good, KEEP IT! You will never ever recoup $5800 negative equity in just gas savings. Start applying extra money to your car loan and pay it off ASAP.

Just to clarify --My car loan is $8800 -- the dealership will use $3000 rebate from Honda, pay $3000 blue book value, and 'give' me $1000 deposit to bring down loan balance (car price will increase $1000)
my negative equity will be $1800 rolled into the new loan...
the 2006 Jeep Liberty ---3 of the 4 windows are not functional -- according to different quotes it will cost between $300 to $600 per window to fix ( this includes the $130 spent to keep 2 of the windows up until regulators are purchased)
also keep in the mind the noise seemingly coming from the power steering column (mechanic couldn't determine what was actually causing the noise since it happens occasionally)
I'm afraid with my daily commute the car will not last long and I may end up with a 'non-tradable' junker with an outstanding loan on it
the $1500 mark-up dealer package includes - vin etch on all windows, trunk tray, wheel locks, Honda pin stripe painting, and splash guards
Deal is with Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville, FL
Have you done the math on the HF model? it adds $1,600 worth of "upgrades" to increase mpg by a couple digits. At 35,000 miles a year and say a 2mpg gain, it will take 8 years to recoup that additional cost. I'm guessing by that time (300k miles late...) you won't see a dime of additional resale. So as is the case with most hybrids the $$ just doesn't really make sense. Go for an LX without $1,500 in "extras" and no warranty and you'll save yourself $5,000 and have essentially the same. Just without pinstriping :P
