1992 Chevy Corsica, V6, auto, cruise, removable face cass. player, PL. 92K, new rubber, looks like a 1996. What would I expect to get for trade in Baltimore/DC area? And private party? Thanks! :)

..... Ok, if they are "ALL done" with all the negotiations --- now your Dad has to ask them for the -- *sales Tax*. Yep, the sales tax that goes along with that $18,395 figure (depending on his county .. it could be 4/5/6%+) ..and they will pay it.

I have been down this road about 35 times... l..o..l..

    Terry.

    ..... It's a V6, that a big help. If it's super duper -- it's a $1,0/$1,200 vehicle.

This is a great retail piece. $2,950 in the paper... $2,0/$2,2/$2,400 at your door step. IF--- it's clean, air is cold, the interior is still lookin'' sharp -- just like you said, it "looks" 96 even with the miles -- the V6 saves this car.. :-)

....... Gheeeez, every time I come on .. It's Brett this ..or Brett that. Your getting to be a pain in my butt.

Ok.. it's the right color, the miles are alright. And unless you ran this this thing into a Mcdonalds drive though since the last time we spoke ... it should be worth, around that $9ish figure -- What ..? did you think it was going to go up..? ..l.o.l.

Try to get CF to go with that figure or close to it .. by the way, are you close to Huntsville..?

    Now, go away .. :-)

    Terry.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... The high miles don't help, but ..It's a Odyssey and a EX.

Soooo, if it clean, no parking lot kisses, tires are newish, no french fry invasions and you can still see your dash -- it will be in and around that mid $20 figure or so.

    Terry.

I have a '99 Escort Wagon SE. I bought it new and have maintained it religiously. It now has 34,000 miles (2000 miles left on warranty).

It's a 5-speed, has power windows, power locks/keyless entry, cruise, tilt, factory alloys, air, roof rack, am/fm/cassette. I just put on new tires and have added a cd changer and Infinity speakers.

Car is Toreodor Red (Dark Red) and is perfect in and out (not even a door ding). I'm in Washington state.

    Thanks for any info.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... Actually this sounds like a pretty nice little vehicle .. the miles are ok., it's has all the power stuff that's needed, especially on a wagon ..But --

    It's a handshaker ..(ouch) in a wagon ..?

    Oh well, it's a $5ish vehicle to a dealer.

Looking for trade in value (Indianapolis, IN)

    Red
    Automatic
    65.5k miles
    PW/PL
    CC
    Spoiler
    Moonroof
    Clean/Good condition
New tires (less than 2k miles on them)
    Balance of extended warranty
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... Coupe's aren't as popular than the sedans .. but, in your case you have a lot of things going your way.

It's red, a big winner there, it's an auto another big winner .. a slider and spoiler and of course -- it has small miles for the year and new sneakers.

Soooo, what's that all mean..? ... I don't know, I just made it up ..l..o..l..kidding.

If the vehicle has little or no dings and dents ..and its super clean inside (no French fry invasions) .. it's probably a $8,5ish vehicle ..

    Terry.
  • woodyhermanwoodyherman Member Posts: 3
Terry, sorry for the wrong name. I'm new to this. When you say the ultra 24's I'm assuming the few dings aren't a problem and you are taking into consideration the low miles. Is this something I could get from a dealer in my area,(metro NYC) and does it depend if it is a Acura dealer or not?
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... Good question..! ... As a rule, a dealer should have many contacts, wholesalers, the Acura dealer down the street, the Bimmer dealer perhaps thats not afraid of of any import, etc.

But NYC .. has a bunch, I wouldn't think its much of a problem. If you have have a few little dings, I wouldn't worry. But, if you have a door full, then spend the $100 or so, and call the dent Wizard, they are easily removed.

Make sure you have this cleaned to the MAX before you go hunting. A dirty 2001 looks as bad as a dirty 96.

You should be lookin' at $24,5/$24,7/$24,900 somewhere in that area.

Good luck ..and let us know.

I bought my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo in California under a 3 year lease agreement in 1998. It's time to give it up now or trade it in on a new or used vehicle.

What is my best option? I want to buy a new 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and the dealer said it is best to trade my Isuzu in with them and they will give me the "best" deal regardless of the mileage over or small dent on side. What would the value of my truck be with 80,000 miles and a small dent on passenger door...otherwise it's a fully loaded 1998 Isuzu Rodeo LS 2 WD Automatic with power everything and stereo (no cd) , air conditioning, cloth seats, standard wheels.

I have a 1989 Honda Civic I would like to trade in. It have 222,000 miles on it. My car runs real good as I have the oil changed every 3,000 miles on it. The body is not in bad shape except for some rust under the rear door. Its in good shape given the mileage and 13 yrs old. What do you think it may be worth?
  • activex111activex111 Member Posts: 41
I am thinking of trading in my 99 Accord EX-V6. It has 37000 miles on it. The body is in great shape except few scratches on bumper. Can you please tell me how much can i expect for it. (i am in CA)
  • woodyhermanwoodyherman Member Posts: 3
Thanks for all your help. I will definitely let you know how it goes. Oh, curious, what resources did you use to get the trade prices you quoted me?

My Ford Windstar SEL 2000 - Saint Paul, MN.
    Fully loaded with options.
Leather seats, Rear sensing system, Rear entertainment system, Rear A/C controll, Bucket seats etc. with 24,000 miles and Spruce Green with two tone.
What price should I expect fro trade-in for a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry.

Any advise is appreciated. Should I go for private sell or trade in.

    Thanks

.... Vk, You have a loaded up van with all the toy's .. TV, Quads, heated seats, dual this, dual that .. why would you trade for one of those itty bitty cars ..?

Well anyway, it has little miles, it's all toyed up ..and if it's clean, the interior looks almost showroom, no dead mice or french fry's ..and the outside looks 02 ..then you are lookin' at a vehicle that will probably pull around the mid $16's.

    I hope this helps ..

How much would a 1996 Pontiac Grand AM GT with 68K miles be worth in a trade-in? It is in good condition. Thanks, this is really helpful!

    ... Your welcome.

Where do I get my info..?

Well, I call Bretfraz, he emails Sobers, Sobers then calls his Mom in Idaho, she checks the Bingo games. The Bingo game then Fed-Ex Bill .... Bill sends Pony Express to Q -- Q then checks with his Dad in Ohio .. His Dad calls the Minister at their church, the assembly there put's a bunch of numbers together in a hat .. they pull a number, then they call my sister .. who then leaves a note on my door. --- Easy Huh..?

Seriously, I go to about 6/8 auctions a month ..and see, touch and feel about a Zillion vehicles.

Personally, I liked the first way better.

    Good Luck ..

I am hoping someone could give me a real world figure for the trade-in of a 1997 Chevy Blazer LS.

    2DR
    Automatic.
    Power Doors/Windows
    78K Miles
    Black
Average condition, a few minor plastic pieces inside need to be replaced.

The dealer I took it too about 6-8 weeks ago said $4000. I am hoping this amount is low.

    Thanks.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
.... 2 dr Blazer LS ..huh. with 78 klicks. Black, I can't tell where you are from, so that could be good ..or that could be bad.

But there is a few of these around .. I'm thinkin' with the miles and all, your driven' a $4,000 vehicle.

Oooop's, that's what the last guy said. But I agree.

Sorry, I wish I had better news ....

    Terry.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
    ... Ok Mr. Tennis, is it a 2dr ..or a 4dr..?

My GPS is not working tonight and my SatNav won't unscramble.

If it's super nice and clean .. shows like a 99, heavy in the rubber department -- interior looks like kinda new .. then your lookin' at "around" $3,5 to $4,000.

    Terry.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
    .... Hey --- is it a 2dr ..or a Sedan EX ..?

    Ok, you rocket scientists .. I will assume it's a 4dr.

If this puppy is stand tall ...I mean its just about puurrrfect except for the scratch ..and it's got new sneakers, then your going to be around that $16 figure, but it better glow in the dark...

    Terry.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... Braging huh ..? I don't blame you. Well actually, this is a retail piece. Depending on the dealer, you might be lookin' at a Nick ($500) .. If you retail it, You might see $1,500+ ..

    But, it's your dime ...

    Terry.
  • rroyce10rroyce10 Member Posts: 9,332
...... What ..? 80,000 klicks ... Do you drive to summer camp every weekend ..? Gheeeez.

Well, I think your excursions are gonna cost ya a little. I'm thinkin' about $6ish for this one..

    I hope this helps ...

    On the money.

You responded to my question about the red 97 Civic EX yesterday. You told me $8.5ish.

And $8.5 was exactly what they offered. Although, I'm going to hold on and try to sell it myself for a little more...
  • abtsellerabtseller Member Posts: 291
I concur on the Blazer. 2drs aren't bringing the money, especially if its a 2wd. You know the drill, clean it to within an inch of its life, glue the plastic parts hanging down on the interior back together, put it in the paper or on a busy street corner with $6499 o/b/o in the window, and say buh bye to it at the first $5500 that comes at you.

Here's my transaction--I know I am getting hosed on the Benz trade-in but want to unload it:

I am trading a 1996 Mercedes S320 SWB model with 76,500. Body is in fair-good condition, interior is perfect. I am getting $17,500 on my trade.

I am purchasing a 1999 Saab 9-5 Wagon, 2.3 lpt engine, 24,500 miles--in very good shape with balance of warranty through October 2003. Very hard to find this car in my region. Purchase is price is $22,900.

Any thoughts--not so much about the Benz value but rather the Saab value. THANKS for a QUICK response!!

o.k. so i have a ford escortlx 140000 miles on it has been hit [you would notice from the inside of trunk] car has been in central florida since new everything works and i have receipts for most of repairs[if that would matter at all] would like to trade on a 2002 ranger
  • im_brentwoodim_brentwood Member Posts: 4,883
May be a tad light on the MB... but color and more info on the "good-fair" would help.

The SAAB? $22,900 seems like a lot. Is it an SE perhaps? Still, I'd rather see you closer to $21K on it.

What part of the country are you in?

    I'm in Orlando!

    OK...

This is, at best, a $300-400ish car. That being said, if you cant get much for it.. lemme know. I have zero interest, but I may know a guy who has a buy-here, pay-here lot on the Trail who can use it. He may pay a touch more if its clean.

A co-worker of mine has a 1993 Toyota Corolla LE with sunroof, automatic, cassette, PW/L, NO alloy wheels, and 133K miles on it. He said he has all maintenance records, new sneakers and brakes at 120K, timing belt changed (doesn't remember when though). Outside looks nice for a 1993 (I have seen it). He wants to sell it himself or trade it in for a Sienna or Odyssey. In Howard County, MD area. What do you think for each price? Thanks!

Hey, Does anyone know of a Real-World trade-In value site other than Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book? I thought I saw a link here a few months back but can't seem to find it now. It claimed to be the information dealers used for real world trade-ins. Thanks

    Hi,

I have a lexus es 300 1998 model which I got from the dealer in 2001. At the time of purchase, It was a pre-owned car which had been certified by lexus and had 34000 miles on it.

I am looking to sell the car in May/June 2002, by then it should have 45000 miles on it. The specs of the car are as follows:

    Year: 1998
    Color: Oyster
    Condition: Excellent
Lather seats, monroof, AVS, 6 cd changer, heated front seats, and all the other standard features.

I am in Ann Arbor Michigan. Could you please help me with what you think a trade in value would be with a retailer, e.g. Lexus of Ann Arbor.

    Thanks

I've got a 98 Volvo Cross Country, 49k miles, clean, good records, got the Volvo roof bike rack (2) (I'm thinking eBay for them if I trade it in???), cargo cover, moonroof, upgraded stereo. Probably needs tires in another 5k miles. White ext with tan leather/canvas-like insert combination inside.

I live in Northern NJ, lots of 'em around here. What do you think about trade in (on an Odyssey) or private sale?

    Thanks!!

    Coworker's van...
    1994 Ford Aerostar XL
    Gold/Tan color
    Cloth interior
    4.0 V-6
    Automatic
    141,000 miles
    Front/rear AC
    ABS
    Power windows/locks
    AM/FM Cassette
    Built-in car seats...
    Well maintained, all receipts available

    Location is Northern Virginia...

Had a minor front end kiss that was professionally repaired, good paint, new tires, new brakes.

This doesn't sound like a prime candidate for a trade-in, so how about a target private sale price?

    Thanks as always!!!

Cars.com (supposedly) has a link to the Black Book, which dealers use to value trade-ins. Go to http://www.cars.com and click on "prices and research" from the homepage. You will then see a link about used cars in the right bottom corner of the gray webpage area.

Ok last A4 Avant i will ask you guys about. Ok it is a 2001 A4 avant Pelican Blue 1.8T with like 4k miles on it. It has the following options on it besides the standard equip...Automatic stability control, Automatic diming mirror, Heated front seats, Power moonroof, Sports suspension, Sports wheels, That is it.
