At $795 on a 36 month lease of a Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab, does it make sense to purchase the Extended Wear and Tear Protection?

Does anyone else have any experience with end of lease wear assessments where fees were assessed?

I've leased several cars over the years (VW, Ford, Honda) and never once been assessed any fees for excess wear and tear.

Some people are vey hard on their cars. The have dogs, use the cars as rolling restaurants etc.

If you are in that catagory, this could be a wise investment. If you keep your cars fairly nice inside and out, you propbably don't need the coverage. I would think of this as expensive insurance.
