It is heartening to see so many committed relationships in this day and age when a lot of marriages seem to be over with the honeymoon.
Cheers Pat.

Nope those aren't the wheels. Look closely at the one's from either show. Each spoke actually has a slit in it (like the standard ones) they are more of a darker silver with a bit of a gold tint. Of course they're 17" as well.
Here's a great illustration of the difference between the stock and the ones I'm referring to:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13- - 6817&perpage=25&pagenumber=51
Scroll down about halfway or so and it's a pick of two wheels right next to each other.
-Ian
p.s. I saw a pick somebody took of the wagon with the wheels you're referring to from the Detroit show and they look pretty good!
Steve, I am pleased to hear that Emily is involved with her cultural heritage. My cousin and his wfe adopted two kids from Taiwan and have ensured they learn their native language and culture. Whilst their six year old son is very sniffy about it (he is practising being an "Aussie Boy" really hard) their four year old daughter is lapping it all up.
One of the luxuries of multi-culturalism is the exposure of our children to different influences. The school my kids attend and where I chair the Council, is fiercely proud of the range of different cultures we share.
We celebrate Asia Week each year as about half the kids come from different Asian cultures. That means different religions, different dress, different sensibilities and best of all, different food. Last year, we wrapped up the week with an Asian food festival where we had too much curry and too little noodles.
We also brought in dancing troops from about ten different countries. I was staggered by how beautifully they danced and haw much care the parents took to ensure the purity of the cultural heritage was maintained. Exquisitely dressed and delicately danced routines brought a real traste of Asia.
However, the contrast, once the costumes came off, hair came down and the kids reverted to normal dress, was amusing. Instantly, they were just normal Aussie kids, pressuring their mums and dads for a trip to McDonalds (exported US cultural imperialism, I am sure - good burgers for kids though.).
Hope Emily enjoyed herself.
Cheers

They didn't have those wheels you mentioned on the '04 WRX @ Baltimore.
Here's the wheel we saw

Hmmm...no visible weights on those wheels.
Saw a cartoon the other day. Seems that a late 40'sh woman was exclaiming to her husband watching the boob-tube. "honey, I'm pregnant..." Husband has dropped jaw and widened eyes.
Steve in Minnesota (geeze, maybe I should be MMSteve)
I was born and raised in north central MN and lived there until moving to Utah several years ago... at least now I'm not competing for the "Steve in MN" name
I was at a party in college once, playing cards, and there were four out of four "Steves" at the table. That got a bit confusing.

Baltimore was fun. It wasn't crowded so we didn't wait in line for anything, except to sit in a Z4 once. The BMW stand was the *only* one that was crowded, and even then not much.

Those look much better in person than they do in the "accessory" pic from the Subaru website. I sure hope the salesman Bob talked to was wrong about the AWP and Moonroof availability on the wagon.

It is one of those weird facts that Americans, and particularly bible belters, are more worried about the number of the devil than the rest of the world. I have always suspect numerology and obsessions with number facts in the bible are the sign of misplaced fondness for Dr Matrix. Is Martin Gardener still writing?

Related- the magic number for a wine wholesale price is $6.66- because it means the wine will be $9.99 on the shelf. Except for italian wines in Maryland- those are $6.67 because Little Italy merchants won't buy a wine that's $6.66
Could not have been me ;-)
Although I was going to forego the '04 and wait for the following year. Alas fate steered me to the '03.
