Got 6.9 5 financing to be refinanced as soon as I get a clear idea when that can be done . Did I get a good deal??
-Just wanted to double check...
mazdausa.com/gerber
This will get you to the page , type in the info and they will send you by email a form. Print it out and you are good to go.
I just posted my $ for the same vehicle you seem to be looking for , good luck!!
This is what I did. I e-mailed several dealerships around two weeks before the end of the month. I look at their inventory first to see if they got the car I wanted. They usually reply very quickly within hours. They also will give you the price that they think you will buy(i.e. advertised price, s-plan, etc.) Wait and don't reply immediately. They will contact you a few days later and then usually every day.
Then tell them you are looking for a certain vehicle and are willing to buy within a week if the price is right and will even buy tommorrow if the price is great. Always use "How much off the MSRP?", this way they won't confused you with options price tricks you don't need for your car. "How much off MSRP?" also gives you a better choice since you are not dealing with one car he/she want to get rid of(i.e. one sitting on a lot for 10 months before Mazda raised its' price twice) but his/her entire lot of cars. Then they will offered you a couple of hundred more off MSRP then the first price.
E-mail a dealership that is further(i.e greater then 75 miles) from the ones you e-mail. The local dealers don't know how much they are paying when they are that far away. Also check to see your states highest sellers(in numbers) of Mazda Cars. The highest sellers usually gets a bonus(around $400 each car) if they meet certain numbers. Then it's about a couple of days till the end of the month and the local dealers are getting desperate to meet their numbers. Use the quote of the highest selling Mazda dealer since is usually lower because they are getting their bonus and might sell the car you wanted at a slight lost to get that bonus. Squeeze $100-200 more form this dealership by saying, "Give me another(your squeeze discount) and I will be there tommorrow". Remember don't be greedy here and make sure that dealership has the car you wanted. They will bite if you tell them you are setting foot inside their store. At this point you should have a exact price off for any car on the lot.
Then see if the local dealers will match. If they don't then drive to the lower priced dealer even if they are 75 miles away and pick up your Mazda 6. I save $6750 this way.
In my price shopping, I was able to get a price for the Mazda6 s Sport Sedan with the bose/moonroof package for $250 over invoice (before rebates) which put it around $20,550 after the $3000 in rebats and not including the Gerber rebate
Anyone know what incentives are out for August yet?
I am in Anaheim, CA
Thanks for any input...
If the car is paid off early the dealer is charged back the incenitve....so if you pay off the car early make sure you find another dealer to service your car.
Andy in Indiana
MSRP 27,1
Paid 21,8 plus TTL after MAC cash. Wish i had known about the Gerber rebate sooner.
Bought a 6i sport 5spd with bose, leather, and mirror for 5700 off MSRP using S plan, Gerber and MAC (total of $4000). Dealer charges $100 for doc, and $225(!) to add mirror on site, which diluted my savings. They took the Gerber without the original ad. Salesman said call F&I after 3 payments and threaten to refi, they'll drop the rate. S-plan included an additional $500 stair-step rebate. Thanks to you folks here for clueing me in on the Gerber.

Is invoice minus the 2000+1000+500 rebates reasonable?
the only dealer to contact me from edmunds quoted me exactly 1k over invoice for the car, before incentives. Yuck.
What do you really feel is fair? Invoice... or a little over? Any consideration in regards to what a salesperson might make on this sale... or none at all?
If your scenario is achieved of $20,500-2,200-2,000-1,000-500 for a grand total of $14,800 +TT&L, you can rest easy and know you got an extremely great deal.
the sales person is going to see what they can do tomorrow I think.
and yes i sold cars too.
The first dealer principle to figure this out will make a ton.
All u need is a staff of college kids/young adults..train them in the product..pay them a flat hourly rate along with a stipend for tuition..offer no haggle pricing...have test mules and you'll be set. Have a real internet division that frequents ubb boards associated with that make. word will travel fast when people hear that they can go to a dealership and not feel threathened, test drive and get a decent price.
man if i had a few million in cash...
If I am your competition down the street all I have to do is beat your number by $100. I would even use it in my advertising.
"Shop Redacr first but come see Guss last. We guarantee to beat his posted prices."

I'm going to be buying a new car in the next week or so and have narrowed my choices to the Mazda3 and Mazda6. The 3 s is a blast to drive, especially with the 5-speed manual. I've also driven both automatic and manual versions of the 6 s, but they're a little more money than I want to spend.
I've located a dealer with a Lapis Blue 6 i Sport model with Bose/Moonroof and 5-speed manual for $16,998. The car is a demo and has about 8,000 miles on it, but never titled. I priced a new one online thru Edmunds TMV and a few other sources and it looks like a good deal.
My biggest concern is- does the 6 i 5-speed have enough power? I know the 2.3L is more than adequate in the 3, but I've not driven the 6 with it. This particular dealer is 150 miles from me, so it will be Saturday before I can go check it out. Any input on the matter? Anyone else have the 2.3L/5-speed combo?
Thanks for any help!
You can always test-drive a 6i at a closer dealer just to try one out. Consider that a new '05 model like that should be obtainable for around 18.5K.
As an additional comment - I ran into similar pricing issues and it basically came down to, would I rather have an additional $20/month in car payments for a more loaded 6s, or settle for a more base model 6s.....I went with the base model 6s - all it has is the sports package, and a stickshift....if I had it to do over again, I would have spent the extra $20/month for the added options. like the bose, a moonroof, and interior the color I really wanted.
To me, to make that adjustment all it means is eating out 1 fewer times per month. Anyway - those are my comments. While the 6i isn't like driving a fore escort or anything, it isn't like driving a performance sedan either.
