I never shopped minivans until this year so I don't know. Click on Hause's link and see a 2007 8-passenger XLE for yourself.

I just wonder how they got it, and after going through all that trouble, why they traded it with less than 5000 miles! Too big a credit line and too small a brain is my guess.

    Wow, Canadian model? Special order?

If I had known I may have wanted one.

According to Edmunds, Toyota is offering $1500 customer cash. But it says, "vehicle must be financed through the manufacturer's captive finance company". Is this true? If you take the cash option, what is Toyota's APR? I know it's 0.0%/1.9% wo/ the customer cash. Thanks, Tony

    drpool,

That looks like a great offer. Carsdirect is selling for 22,379. Which dealer is this. I am planning to buy an LE in a few weeks time.

I am looking for Sienna Touring 08 or 09. During recent drive to Las Vegas, I saw a Sienna Touring model. Does anyone know where I can see one? I live in So Cal, LA area.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Ody has a Touring, but Sienna has an XLE or Limited.

Maybe it was a dealership appearance package?
  • tomwrightjmtomwrightjm Member Posts: 2
Been working with an Indiana dealer on a XLE with EVP 3 (QJ) with EJ (JBL sound).

Then AW (17in), LF (fog lamps) NI (auto mirror), also the CF (Carpet/Mats).

    MSRP 34,700 roughly

Got a price of $31,500. They say it's $300 over invoice.

    But it includes:
    Destination $685
    TDA $500
    Dealer Holdback $592
    Whsl. Financial Review $296

What do you all think of that price? Which of those listed included charges should I be able to negotiate away?

I would welcome a little education about what those ad ons are before I talk to them again.

    Thanks in advance!

I think I over paid, got the basic 2008 Canadian Model of the CE for 30,000. :(
I miss my little 2005 Corolla CE.
  • siennamisiennami Member Posts: 116
Usually the 8 seater comes in the CE or LE trims, but once in a while you'll find them in the XLE trim, like the one mentioned in Hause7's post. My friend drives one. Hers is an '04, though. She told me that it was just what was on the lot at the time and not a special order for her, although I suppose someone else could've special ordered it and then changed their mind. Oddly enough when I took mine in to be serviced the other day, there was only ONE Sienna on the lot. Wonder what was up with that?
  • hienhinhhienhinh Member Posts: 2
I recently purchased my Sienna Le for 25,321 not include tax, license or fees in Fresno, CA. It came with 16" Alloy wheel, EVP Package #2, electronic locking system, daytime running lights, de-icer grid, and carpet floor mats. I got it at invoice price. Did I get a fair deal on it or get ripped-off? Kind of feeling bad about the deal I got after seeing others with 2k to 3k better price. What do you all think?
    :( ">
  • tomwrightjmtomwrightjm Member Posts: 2
So my dealer has a van in the right color and EVP3 on the lot. The only thing it doesn't have is the JBL deluxe sound system. I took a van for an over night that had it and wasn't very impressed. I went and sat in the standard XLE sound system van today and thought it was just as good as the JBL deluxe.

What is everyone ones opinion out there?
  • siennamisiennami Member Posts: 116
Get the XLE! I have to admit that sound systems aren't high on my list of priorities anyway, and I drive a CE, and I have nooooo idea of the sound system in it.
  • siennamisiennami Member Posts: 116
Never, ever look at what other people paid for theirs..... hindsight is always 20/20. After I got my CE last summer, I don't really look at the posts that mention what people paid for theirs 'cause then I get mad at myself all over again for being a patsy! :P

Hi. I'm in the market for an XLE with Pkg #1. Was wondering what kind of offers others have gotten in the San Francisco Bay area. Doesn't have to be an exact model. Just trying to get a feel for what kind of offers are out there. Thanks!
  • caesuracaesura Member Posts: 4
Over the weekend I bought my LE, 7 Seater with Package 2 and Alloy Wheels for $23,000 at Fremont Toyota. They started by asking for MSRP (27, 559) and I showed them the carsdirect.com price. The price instantly reduced by $4000. I told them I could step out and order it from carsdirect in five mins and be done with it and they matched the price and since the vehicle they had already had alloy wheels, they threw it for free.

My advice is use the carsdirect.com price as your bargaining point and ask for a better deal.
  • lookingnewcarlookingnewcar Member Posts: 7
Thank you for posting your story! We're negotiating on an 08 LE right now as well (with 8 seats). Our dealership is at 24,500 and I'd love to get it lower. We're getting extra value pkg. #2 and de-icer/DRL.

Thank you, I'm checking carsdirect.com now and going from there. Did they offer you the 0% on top of this price?

    Thank you.
  • lookingnewcarlookingnewcar Member Posts: 7
Okay, dumb question. Do you have to wait for the dealership to contact you for the carsdirect price? I applied for a quote yesterday and haven't heard anything. I just applied again today and it sent my info. to a different dealership. Is there a way to see their price w/out waiting to hear back?

Thanks-sorry for all of the questions.
  • hienhinhhienhinh Member Posts: 2
Did you choose the rebate or the lower interest rate? If rebate, is the $23,000 price before or after $2000 cash rebate? What APR did you get if you've chosen the rebate?
  • caro1216caro1216 Member Posts: 8
I wanted to ask the same question. How much is the APR after you chosen the rebate? I know it depends of your credit but lets say you have an excellent or good credit?

    Thanks
  • caesuracaesura Member Posts: 4
23, 000 is after rebate. If you take the rebate, the APR is 5.59%. If you don't take the rebate you get 0% APR.
  • caesuracaesura Member Posts: 4
I printed the carsdirect.com price (not the dealer quote, but the one displayed on their site) and walked into the neihborhood dealership. Since they would not believe this price, we used one of their computers and I asked the salesperson to configure it himself. Once he saw it himself, he just lowered the price.
  • lookingnewcarlookingnewcar Member Posts: 7
Ah ha! Is their price the orange 'target price'? When I put in the 8-passenger with package #2 and daytime running lights it comes in at 24,760. What a bummer! Any other places I could find a quote any lower for my dealer? All of the dealerships around 200 mi. or so are coming in at 25K. My local dealer offered 24,500-but it seems like others are finding better deals. Any other advice or ideas I could use?

I would love to get the car for 23K. Thanks again for your help.

    Hi -
I live in NJ and looking at buying Sienna LE soon. Pls let me know (jaya_krishnay@yahoo.com) if anyone else is looking.....or have purchased Sienna in NJ.

    Thanks.
  • lookingnewcarlookingnewcar Member Posts: 7
TxCowboy - Would you mind sharing the price you paid at Red McCombs? We're also in San Antonio and can't find anything less than 34,200 for an 8-passenger LE, EVP #2, Daytime Running Lights/De-icer, Extra Mile Package A. RedMcCombs Internet is saying that they can't beat any other dealers unless they have the purchase order and Cavender (the 34,200 contender won't give us a P.O.). We're having an awful car buying experience.

Does anyone have any other advice? I see these LE's going for 22,800 and 23,xxx and I really, really don't want to pay any more than I have to. Ugh. Our dealer at Cavender has been a pain to work with. I'm tempted to look at Odyssey's again. Long day . . .

    Hi Lookingnewcar -
What does $34.2k include? I got a quote from a dealer in NJ for $23.6k for Sienna LE, EVP2 (he said he can not give 0% finance with this price). Also, this price does not include tax and other extras.....but $34.5k seems a high price for me....maybe, you can come to NJ, purchase a car and drive to texas...:)))
    Thx

Can someone please confirm whether the $ 2000 cash incentive and the 0% for 60 mos financing can be combined or not?

I was at a dealer on Saturday and he said they cannot be combined and was also telling me that the cash incentive is $ 1500 and not $ 2K.

I had just gone for the test drive and what is confusing to me is the price of Toyota's option packages. I looked up on the internet and the EVP # 2 package is listed for some $ 384, but the car that I drove had that package (QF??) and it was listed for some
    $ 1500 :mad:

This slick sales manager was doing his routine and he offered me a price of $ 23,900 for that LE plus everything else. I am hoping that would be Tax + Fees + title and not the destination.

Well anyway, I said i was just here to test drive at this point and would still like to hear his best price so that I can come back later...he first said that was the best price, then as I went all the way back to my car and started my car and began to back up, he came running back and offered it to me for $ 22,900 if I did the deal right then.

I laughed and pulled out of the dealership. This was without the financing so obviously it was a bad deal anyway and he would have added another $ 2K with everything else on top.
  • lookingnewcarlookingnewcar Member Posts: 7
I think the incentive is 2K in some areas and 1500. in others. Our dealership had an either/or approach. Honda is offering the incentive as well as .9 financing.

We bought our LE 8-passenger with pkg. 2, DRL, de-icer, mats, and door sill protectors on Saturday for 24,150. I found the same car through fitz mall for 23,400; but figured that with a $700-$800. charge to transport the car we might be better off just buying here. Another dealer matched the 24,150 but wouldn't go lower. Other dealers wouldn't go lower than $24,500.

Coolpete-can I ask what part of the country you're in? We saw lower prices in CA and MD but couldn't get anyone in TX any lower. I really wish we could have gotten another 1K off.

Price aside, I'm very happy with the Sienna. We love it! Thanks for the help everyone!

Hey guys, Toyota has incentives based on locality, so you need to find out what the incentive is where the vehicle is being sold.

Go to www.toyota.com and under Shopping Tools, click on Local Specials and put your zip code in. It'll come up with the local promotions. Please note that the promotion is based on where the dealer is located and not where you live/plan to register. For example, I found an XLE with EVP#1 in San Francisco area and plan to finance 0% for 60 mos through Toyota (vice $2,000 rebate). I went this route because Toyota didn't sell XLE with EVP#1 in Los Angeles area where I live - localized marketing at its worst! Plus, Toyota only offered 0% for 36 mos in LA area so it worked out great for me. Am picking it up this Friday. Woo-hoo!

Did the $25,000 you paid include destination charge (e.g. around $685)?

    thanks.

You got Sienna LE EVP#2 for $22,264?

    Others -
Also, will toyota give additional incentives (other than 2000 cashback) if we wait for a little longer? Say mid-july??

    Hi,
I am new to this forum and am looking for information on prices on an Sienna XLE with EVP4 (RES and NAV). I am in Northern VA and would also love info on good dealers vs other....
    Thanks
  • osbfamilyosbfamily Member Posts: 2
Yes - I believe the following factors influenced their aggressive pricing

    1. sales target numbers for month and opening weekend
    2. working out processes in new facility
    3. slow car sales
    4. slower van sales

20 Months ago I purchased a 2006 CE for $23,700 including destination. It was at 0%. In the Seattle area. That was a 2006, and a CE. It was a good price. I traded it 3 weeks ago at 36,000 miles, and it is missed!. The prices you are questioning are fabulous for that much vehicle. My God, Toyota is bound and determined to run everybody (except maybe Hyundai) out of business. Prices like that will do it. Good luck and congratulations to you and all buying optioned Sienna LE's at these prices, you are getting a great vehicle. Enjoy!

I get the feeling that Toyota will offee better rebates in July on the Sienna? What do people here think? At least they should extend the 1500 dollar rebate..I was quoted at 23879 for an LE with alloy wheels/evp#2 and rl at a new york dealer. Seemed like an ok deal. He tried to tell me that all their Siennas would be gone this weekend..find that hard to believe. I am waiting until July for bette deals..suspect I will be correct.
  • perl5perl5 Member Posts: 17
If you look at 355's e-price, it's about $23000 (including $1500 rebate) - $500 promotion off (valid until 6/30) for the same one with yours at NY.
  • wxman41wxman41 Member Posts: 6
Where or who is 355? The problem is that I am Canadian and very few dealers will sell directly to me. The one in New York is one of the few I have found..I will never get as good a deal as an American as the dealers know I dont have too many options. I am hoping that maybe Toyota will offer a higher rebate in July..at least continue the 1500 rebate..we will see.
  • yatesjoyatesjo Member Posts: 186
They know you got lots of US dollars trading Loonies as you come across the border. While you can get a big price reduction buying in the US, I'm pretty sure you also lose the warranty coverage on the US spec van taking it into Canada.
  • wxman41wxman41 Member Posts: 6
No the warranty is good in both Canada and the USA. However with Honda and some other manufacturers the warranty is not valid in Canada.
  • yatesjoyatesjo Member Posts: 186
I know that none of the domestic brands or, as you mention, Honda will cover cars going either direction on the border. Pleasantly surprising to hear that Toyota will.

This whole US$ devaluation is a real boon to you guys on things you can jump across the border to get or order online. I have two brothers in B.C. that I joke with about getting loans for gas money.

I am trying to buy this vehicle today. It is Silver with Grey interior. MSRP 41289.
I am expecting to pay 35,700 + Tax 7% NJ + Doc $209 + on line reg $8 + credit enquiry $19 and tire tax $7. ( That includes rebate of $2000). I wonder if I am leaving a lot of money on table.

What is dealer holdback for these vehicles?
    Thank you

It seems to me that it is a decent deal. Would anyone have bad experience about buying new cars with this dealer? I plan to keep the car for more than 5-6 years. Should I be concerned with the "non-transferable"?

    Thanks
