By the way, the Polk speakers are/were on closeout at Circuit City. I think the EX602 is $70/pr. and the EX502 was $60. For the money these speakers sounded way better than anything else I listened to in the same price range. Several salespeople have told me the same thing.
Alternatives are the 'chains' ...Circuit City, Best Buy etc..
Suprisingly, they are more efficient than the old whizzer cone speakers, had to adjust the fader a little. Definitely a broader range too, though most of the bass still comes from the front.
Lazy @ss that I am, I had hoped that I could just re-use the factory wiring, but upon looking at it I am not willing to use their setup with the Bostons. By contrast, the crossover that came with the Bostons is a box of electronics the size of an Altoids tin, one for each side.
Which leaves me with two choices. Rewire with the new crossovers for the new speakers, or bag that idea and go with a 6" coax and leave the factory tweeters alone.
I got such a good deal on these components I am leaning toward having going ahead and having them professionally installed. They retailed for $300 originally, I got them for $110 on clearance/open box.

I've just replaced my stock shocks with Rancho 5000. I'm very happy with them. As sdc2 mentioned in Message 1113, the new shocks make a vast improvement.
For those who don't do a lot of off road nor towing often will certainly be happy with Rancho 5000. A set of 4 cost only $153 at 4wheelparts.com including handling and free shipping, plus $48 installed by Pepboys.
I personally find setting 5 too harsh for daily driving. I only use 5 on the rear for towing, and 5/5 for off-roading. Daily driving I use 3/3 or even 2/3.

Anyways, I'm sure they are not much stiffer than the stock. I pulled and pushed both R5000 and the stocks. The stock can be pushed so easily, with no effort at all.
That means R5000 resists more in compression resulting in less diving during braking and less rolling when turning. Also, less vibration under cross wind. I can feel the differences.
R9000 differentiate from R5000 for adjustability. They can be adjusted when going off road or towing, the front and back can be adjusted differently. So, if you don't think you'll do those thing often, I believe R5000 are good for you. I'm positive you'll like them. If not (very very unlikely), you can get refund, www.4wheelparts.com offers satisfactory guarantee.

Read Message 311 by radman6. R5000 equals to Setting #3 on R9000.
I didn't disagree with you. I mentionned first about adjustability, didn't I. I rarely go off road or towing so I don't want to spend almost twice as much for R9000 ($37 vs $67).

Ok here is what i did to correct this problem. In past posts there were people who said they had either put silicon in the under cut area of the molding strip or actually put black electrical tape over the strip. I didn't want to do either of those since the tape is ugly and falls off and the silicon is somewhat permanent and would have to be scraped off in the event your windshield needed replaced.
I was replacing a screen door screen this weekend and had bought some rubber splining to replace the spline in my screen door. I had some left over and a light went off in my head.....hey this would work perfectly on my windshield. I cut two pieces to length and simply stuffed them under the under cut area of the molding on the windshield pillars. Worked great and if I ever want to take them out all I have to do is pry a corner out and pull the remainder out. If you have a bug guard and also experience the annoying "slapping" noise give it a try. A package of screen spline should cost you less than $2 at the local hardware store (I paid $1.99).
Hope this helps some of you.

The Project Trooper looks decent, but I have never had a need for a rack, and the snorkel is a bit over the top. (I can get those snorkels as well)
As for suspension, I'm loving the Rancho 9Ks + JC Whitney Poly Bushings + OME rear springs.

I also got the impression that those two crazy guys on "Sport Truck Connection" are going to get thier hands on it, maybe they'll do a show on it, they did one on the Rodeo.
