Should i buy a `00 (used) 300M? I guess thats a stupid question for THIS board, since im guessing you all are going to say "yes".

I think the 300M is a gorgeous car (inside and out), thats suposedly built very well, BUT im not a fan of big cars & i am kinda disapointed by the car's 0-60 numbers (yeah, i know, i'm picky).
First off, ill tell ya, that this is the ONLY car this size I would even consider buying (the other cars on my list as much smaller and are coupes, not sedans), but everytime i see a 300M i drool. I also must admit that for a 250+hp car, it really doesn;t have the greatest 0-60 acceleration (ex. 0-60: 300M 7.7 secs; Acura TL Type-S 6.5 secs; Maxima SE 6.7 secs). Hell, even the much less powerful Sebring does 7.7secs. Fine the 300M, is a big car, and fairly heavy, but somethings up with that. Either Chryslers telling a fib, or its geared way too much for highway driving - whicih is too bad, since the amount of traffic around here, i'll rarely get to hit triple-digits.
If i did buy a 300M, one of the first things I would do is drop in a custom dual-exhuast, but that probably wouldn;t increas hp that much, just add a sweet rumble;)

What do you guys say? How happy are you REALLY with your 300M? And should I be concerned about buying a used one? Any person that lives in a city own one - and what comments do u have about it? Are there any specific problems areas that I should be looking at on a used 300M? The only ones i know of, are the wheel/tires and ailignment - which is why I am looking at a `00 since I THINK that problem only affects the `99. I think I have also heard that the window motors sometimes are shot - are there any signs BEFORE the motor dies that I would look for?

Ric and others: so now that we have determined that we have differentials in the M, how important is it that we have the fluid changed and how often is recommended--my 5* was discouraging me from having it serviced (I thought they usually will push service to make $$$$). So now I dont know what to do. Should I change it at 15 K as mentioned in manual for B service or should I just forget about it as the 5* recommended.

I am having the tranny serviced though.. He claims they drain the converter as well. Is draining the converter a possibility in the M. I know some cars cant be drained but can only be flushed. Is he snowing me or can the converter on the M be properly drained?

Another quesion: Is anyone noticing rubbing noises when lowering any of the windows. I just hear it on the drivers sound. All other windows are quiet.

need some help here. why would someone buy a 300m with an interior color they hate??? when i purchased my 300m i really liked the light beige interior. i had the agate interior in my 98 JGC, so when it came to the decision i thought it over very carefully as i knew i would be spending considerable time in the 300m. then came another decision exterior color i really liked the deep slate but i had a black car before and i knew it would be hard to keep clean and rock chips show up a mile away. so i chose the silver but only to find out that the light beige interior was not available with the silver exterior color. had the silver been available with light beige i would have bought that. so can anyone tell me why someone who had the option of getting either the light beige or agate with their particular exterior color would make a choice and later complain that it just doesn't look that great and always looks dirty...an inquiring 300m owner wants to know.

don't buy it, you already have too many complaints and we don't need any more owners like you...you are comparing the full-size 300m to all the mid-size rice burners, and cars that weigh 1000 pounds less...look elsewhere and good luck with your decision you'll need it!!!

Maybe someone makes a choice they think they will like, and then realizes later - after living with it a while - they made a mistake. No need to make an issue of it.

i choose to make an issue out of 300m interior color selection...that is why this 300m topic exists, to make issues out of subjects related to the chrysler 300m. do you own a 300m???

Mine was one of the messages you deleted. I've reviewed the Terms of Use and don't see that I stepped over any line, nor did Race. In fact, the TOU state, "I agree to disagree in a civil manner should I take issue with the statements of another Town Hall participant or any Edmunds.com, Inc. Editor or content contributor." They thereby acknowledge that participants are free to disagree with other posts. I would like to see exactly what in the TOU you think I violated. Frankly, I think you're being overzealous in your "monitoring," and now you've chosen to delete posts which disagree with your interpretations. I imagine that this one won't be up for long, either.

So then i guess some critisism is "frowned upon"? Since when? Out of the whole car, I noted 2 things that weren't "the bestest", and someone suggested i don't buy the car. Whats up with that? Does that mean that you personally are not thrilled with your purchase?
I was really looking for comments from people that have actually owed the 300M for a while - espesially if bought used. I would also be thrilled to hear of anyone how has dropped any 'perfomance-parts' to their 300M, and what kinda performance increase they got.

I'll restate that i think the car is gorgeous, but would be interested in hearing if there are any specific problems to look out for (besides the ones i mentioned).
I also think that your wrong in thinking that the cars I mentioned are not in a similar class. Maybe not exactly size wise, but defintly in terms of price and that they are both aimed at a 'style-conscious' consumer looking for a car with a 'sporty-flair'.

The AOL 300M board was destroyed by the kind of inane bickering that has just started today on this board.
Let's all settle down, cool off, and get back to the kinds of posts that were made prevoiusly!

Not sure how to "enlighten" you on the FWD Differential subject, but I can try.

To me mounting the engine in the normal vs transverse fashion makes it easier for service. I can get all the sparkplugs, belts, etc easier. I think it fits better in this car as well. Another reason may be that it reduces torque-steering and moves a little weight toward the driver and center of the car for better handling.

I don't think it robs us of a lot of HP. The transmission is doing that all on it's own. Many of us have or had V8 High Horsepower vehicles and have transfer much HP to the wheel through a similar rear differential.

Of course these are my educated guesses as to why.

I noticed the other day, my shifter was hard to shift into Park. Now each day since, I have noticed that it was a little hard to move. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix? Do I need a new cable or can I lube something?

I've got 11K miles on my 2000, which I bought new. This was the car I wanted, and I very much like its size (I'm 6'4"). It accelerates fine for me; I drive in city traffic a lot, and I'm not hesitant to jump into traffic when there's a reasonable slot open. I don't drag race, so I don't really care if the car next to me can get to 60 one second faster. I love the car, hope to own it for many years. My only problem has been ill-fitting weatherstripping, which the dealer replaced. Some owners have complained about rattles. Tire vibration problem seems to be mostly with the Goodyears, though I've read one complaint about the Michelins, and lots of Goodyear owners are happy with their tires. Drive it and see what you think, but hey, don't buy it and then come back here complaining that it's too big, not quick enough, or has the wrong color interior!

    Steve, I put 69,000 trouble-free miles on a '99 300m, and now have an '01.
You can probably find an '00 just off lease that has been properly cared for, and at a good price.
If you do it, get a CHRYSLER extended warranty to cover the period you expect to own it. There is a good dealer profit on these warranties, and you should be able to get at least a 25% discount at the time of car purchase.
As for performance, it is not just a 0-60 thing. I feel the OVERALL performance of the 300M is outstanding, especially with the PHP/PHG which I had/have on both cars.
Interor colors have changed in the 3 yrs of 300M production. When I got the '99, the only one in NY state with PHP was Slate w/Agate interior. Looked great clean, but a bear to keep that way.
I factory ordered the '01 with Silver/Taupe and love the way it looks.
Get one and come back here to visit!

I have a 99 PHP with the Michelin XVGT4 16" tires. I have 32,000 miles on them and they've got plenty of tred left. I'm not expected to replace these until 50-60K. I also have Michelin LTX Truck tires on my Ram. I've 40,000 on those and still have 3/4 inch or more of tred. They look better than the Goodyears I got on the truck when I bought it new. My dad had the Goodyear tires on his Grand Cherokee. Lots of Road Noise. At 50K, I switched him to the Michelin LTX, road noise virtually gone in comparison.

I used to be a diehard Goodyear man, but after these and several testimonials from friends and co-workers, it's Michelin for me.

The Ocean City, Maryland Auto Show was not very big, lacking several car makes. But here are some highlights:

-2001 Black/Lt. Taupe 300M; not much different from mine or other 2000's; fit and finish still doesn't seem that great but the taupe interior really helps the inside look richer and more expensive (my agate is looking kind of cheap lately); doors still close with a kind of cheap feel but the Concorde beside it had doors that seemed lighter and even more clunky; real walnut was really nice and I wish I had it on my car.

-Jeep GC Laredo; tried to get inside but it had the absolute worst seats I have ever sat in (so soft and spongy that I could hardly move around in them and my but was on the seat frame.

-Dodge Dakota Quad Cab; very nice; I liked it and the inside was comfortable with comfy seats; four full doors make it very conveniant to get in and out of.

-2001 Sebring/Stratus coupe; these are very low; I could get into the Chrysler somewhat easily but the Sebring took some work; I liked the steering wheel and the Sebring styling-inside and out.

-Jeep Liberty; up on display but looked really cool in patriot blue.

-Aztec; ugly inside and out; costs more than it should.

-Aurora; very easy to get in and out of front; nice climate control knob on passenger's door; comfy to sit in front; some inside materials look hard and cheap (an M is no better in this regard); doors sound cheap and tinny when you close them.

-Deville; ugly; looks cheap and inside feels cheap.

-Catera; I thought I would like it but the front seat caused my head to be up against the roof and I wasn't able to look around it much.

-2002 Mercury Mountaineer; two-tone ugly blues; doors feel cheap; interior is not to great or roomy; already feels and looks like a dated vehicle.

-PT Cruiser; I really liked it and the interior is huge and good-looking with so much legroom and headroom; feels solid.

-Ford Escape; yellow color made it stand out; ugly black front end; interior is roomy.

-Volvo S60; I loved the interior of this car; the seats were so comfortable, the headrests were so large, and every control on the dash was quickly recognizable and easy to reach and use; door sounded like a bank vault closing.

The last car really suprised me and was the most impressive of the show:

-The new Kia Optima! Yes, a Kia! This car was loaded with a V6, an automanual trans, alum. wheels, and pearl white paint all for only $19,000! Most of all, the build quality and materials exceeded that of most of the other cars at the show. The doors closed silently and felt extremely solid, the paint was flawless, the interior was very easy to get into, the materials were terrific, it was roomy, and it had several nice features like three movable rear headrests and and very nice driver cockpit feel and design. All this and it still had the 5/60 and 10/100 warranty! I must be crazy but the car from Korea with a name like Kia kept my attention for a while. The M is still absolutely no comparison to a Kia but the Optima was very optimal indeed.

Well, I've emailed DC about a solution to the rattles and creaks and hope to get a response sometime soon. I washed off the M this afternoon and put the damn bra on because of the expected snow storm here in southern Delaware. It took me and two other people to get the Mopar on for about the third time in a few months but it seems to fit better than it did previously.
  • hazdazhazdaz Member Posts: 56
    Hey thanks for the responses.
If i did buy a 300M i would HAVE to get the PHP, I have test drove it a few times, and unfortuntaly it has never been with the PHP option :( (but i dug the way it drive even eithout the option)
When i was talking with the saleslady, she also mentioned that i could probably get one off a corporate 1yr lease, but mentioned that I might have problems getting the PHP - she mentioned that the PHP isn't THAT popular. That kinda blew me away since its such a reasonably priced option - i figured everyone would opt for it.
Well if i decide to get it, ill defintly take a look at the weatherstripping and try to notice any rattles (or maybe I will just drop in a killer subwooffer and not hear a thing).

Well, the second time around isn't any different.

or maybe it's my total lack of sleep... or that I got a hole in my roof this time. I really missed having one of those.

    Hey all!

I've been following this message board alot lately and I like to see how active it is! So I'm going to join in. Info on myself. I'm a network tech in Minnesota and I just bought a used 2000 300M last monday, have been loving every minute of it. Info on the car is Dark Garnet Red with Aget interrior, Sun Roof, PHP, Upgraded stereo. Can't wait to do the dual exhaust this summer. Besides that I am very happy with my car! Only problem with is was that the passenger butt warmer was flaky when I bought it, dealer ordered the part and is gonna fix it for free.... Easy dealship to work with and I felt I walked away with the car..

Anyways, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the other happy (Or unhappy) owners of 300Ms...

Have 16,000 pleasurable and perfect miles on my platium metalic beauty!! The color still draws crowds, too bad they didn't offer it for 2000 or 2001. Wonder why, anybody got an idea?
Have read where some of you have had rattles, etc. I havn't had any so far, car is still quiet but wish there was a little less road noise. I guess it's the Goodyear Eagle tires. BTW, I get 28.5mpg using 89 at 65mph and around 23mpg overall, city and road.
Am looking for opinions regarding using synthetic motor oils. Since I only drive about 8,000 a year don't think it would pay as I do change my oil and filter every 4 mos. AMSOIL claims 35,000 miles and annual changes for their oil. Any comments.

I bought a used 2000 M last October. It had just come off a 1 year lease and had 11K miles.
I paid $24K.....looks too high now since the incentives on new ones have gone up. but it seemed a good deal at the time. he only problems I've had since I got it have been one window motor replaced and a 4 wheel alignment. At the alignment, they had to replace a bent rear control arm (my cost since it was bent). I suppose the previous driver had hit a pothole or a curb.
I love the car and have no complaints about it. I've never noticed a problem with the 0-60 time.....it seems pretty quick to me. I gave a Lexus 300IS a good race from a stoplight, he did pull away a little bit, but that's a LITTLE car....I've got lots of room and comfort. I'll stick with my M!

My 1999 Platinum Metallic runs great, no rattles or squeaks either. I'm doing the Amsoil 1 year change thing, since I don't get up to 35,000 in one year. I also run the AmsOil ATF and Oil Filters (SDF-15). I recommend their Air Filter too, unless you want to go with a custom intake.

You might read a recent previous post I had on my Amsoil experience.

The AmsOil warranty will take care of you if Chrysler voids you for oil change change interval. Haven't heard of that happening to anyone and Chrysler is well awhere of what Amsoil is and does. I think Chrysler would have to prove an oil related failure (rare for most oils).

Mobil is a fine alternative a lot people are using because it is a little cheaper, easier to get, and they want to follow Chrysler oil change schedule. For me, I want the best oil, saves money in the long run, and save time and effort by only changing once a year.

let me start over, i bought my 2000 300m Dec 26 1999. from the first week i have been modifying it to my own personal taste with help from members here. it is the best car i have ever owned. only one problem which was fixed on the first visit. i suggested against the purchase because you already have two major problems with the car one of which cannot be adjusted to your specs, you don't like big cars. you are also concerned with the stock one mississippi difference in 0-60 times compared to other mid-size rice burners in the $30k price range, this can be adjusted to your specs, with the dual exhaust k&n filter and the new JetChip module. we are awaiting numbers from two members with dual exhaust and k&n who purchased the JetChip module this week. i can tell you that the dual exhaust did a lot more than add performance sound to my m it let the beast out and i have outran mustang gt's, maximas with ease, TL's without a chance and a lot of Lexi and MB's there is no catching the php 300m from 40-152mph (caveat: some 300m owners can't drive and often refute these claims)...if you can get over the big car phobia you might be a strong candidate for 300m ownership.

if you don't buy one add this link to your favorites and drool all you want:

99_300M_ric_va: Thanks for the info. That does make sense to get some weight out of the nose.

race: I read most of the boards on the competition. I am a car NUT! I can't get enough of cars, just ask the Mrs. I considered the M but bought the LS for various reasons. I was tired of FWD plow during hard cornering (I prefer handling over straight-line accelleration) and the LS was RWD. I also wanted something that I didn't see daily (there are 2 M's, 3 GS300's, 4 Vettes, in a parking lot of maybe 100 cars). I had an '82 K-car with the 2.2L that was a pretty good car until a mini truck killed it. You guys are as rabid as we LS owners about our cars. That's good. I'd HATE to see 200 million LS' or M's driving around! To sum things up, finally ;~), deep down I bleed Ford blue. I do like the M. I just like the LS better. They are different cars. We do have something you Mers don't. Lincoln executives are active participants in our board and answer our questions. We have 2 V.P.s and the head of transmission calibration. Visit www.llsoc.com go to the picture gallery and see pictures of the autocross that Lincoln set up for us.
    Happy "M"ing to you! :~)

It's a big car. Doesn't drive like a big car, but, it's still a big car. It's going to get beat by Mustangs and Camaros and Corvettes from 0-60. That's not this cars forte and if seeing how fast you can get to 60 is an issue, you won't be pleased.

I've had no trouble getting on freeways, where 0-60 is important in the real world. If you have a tendency to get into drag races from stop lights, you'll drive away dejected with a wounded manhood, and you'll hate the car. Save your money.

The car looks good and handles like you wouldn't believe. It's got enough creature comforts to keep most folks happy. If you only drive around town without the opportunity to take it on the highway, or down a twisty two lane, then you'll most likely find that the gas mileage sucks (about 18 around town). You can most likely get better 0-60 times and better mileage in a light-weight coupe.

The car is a great car. My 99's been great these past 20,000 miles. But from the little info that was in your original post, this isn't the car for you. Save your money

17" wheels on Ebay. He is probably getting rid of the 17" so that he can put a donut spare in the trunk. That way he can have the spare tire well made smaller so he can put dual tips out the rear center like the Corvette has.
As for 0-60 times, the 300M is in the middle of the pack. I am no stop light racer, but I do want a vehicle to be able to move if needed. My 97 T&C could not, hence it is in the great parking lot in the sky.

I did test drive an 00 LS with the 6 and was disapointed in it, compared to the BMW 540i, Seville, Catera, MB C320,and E430 and the 300M. At the test track the rear end want to break away and the power was not as good as some of the others. I would say the V8 is a good match for car and help it over come most of the short comings of the 6 in the power area. On the test track It came in third (my driving it behind the 300M and MB). It was the last car driven on the track so I expected it to have the best times, since I had driven the others before it. It is a very nice car and given the price I do not think it is worth the extra 8-10K more then the 300M. The Seville, to me was the best of the lot, but at nearly twice the price of the 300M not worth it unless you win the Lottery.

Just hit your local Chrysler dealer. I have about 4 of them around me, unfortuntaly only 2 of them 'offered' to find me a 300M off a 1yr lease - and that was after i pushed them a little. I was looking at a `00 300M, in the low $20's, and the saleperson said that they get them at auction - and i think he said there are some coming up in April.
I have a coupl more months to decide if i want a 300M or a smaller car - probably a coupe. Damn, thats gonna be a hard decision ;(
when i bought my last car (which was the first car i ever owned) it was way easier - i didn;t even testdrive anyting else. This time im torn between too many cars.

Thanks for the compliments. I have thought about sendign the pictures to Sal. I just haven't got around to it.

I use the regular Meguiars Tire Gel and have been pleased. It does last a while and gives the tires a very "clean" look (not shiny).

That said, after the bottle runs out, I'll probably give Sal's tire dressing a try.

I'm curious, does the outside mirror "tilt in reverse" feature only come with the the "lux" package? Mine doesn't have the lux package and I somehow got this feature anyway.

Also, is it possible that some '01s snuck out of the factory with the "old style" chrome wheels from the previous years? I like the old chromes better, but I'm curious.

About the doors and seats....I find my doors to shut with a very satisfying "thunk" compared to some of the 300Ms competitors (like the I30, TL, etc.)

My seats are wonderfully finished (high quality leather) and comfortable. The only seats I like better are in the S60-S80 Volvos.

A little off topic, but I don't think it's really fair to compare a 210hp V6 to, with the exception of the Catera, the other engines. Yours has, what 250ish hp? The price differential wasn't that high. Mine last August was $31600. Anyway, as I said earlier, if it wasn't for the FWD, I probably would be driving an "M". If you have the time, go to www.llsoc.com In the picture gallery there is a video of one of our guys running the autocross taht Lincoln set up. The car looks like it is leaning badly, however that is the cameraman trying to hold on!

You guys enjoy your "M"'s! They sure are pretty!

I saw a post a while back about someone having problems removing the "Chrysler" lettering that had somehow become discolored. The longer the adhesive backing is on the car, the higher the probability that paint will be removed if trying to remove the letters. I have done this before. First, leave the car in the sun for awhile to heat up the skin (I wouldn't use a heat gun unless you know what you're doing). Then, here's the trick, drip Goo Gone onto the letters as you slowly work them off. Let it sit so the Good Gone can work its thing. This works.

Hazdaz: My Platinum '99 300M has been everything I thought/hoped it would be: A stunningly styled, perfectly reliable (except for replacing two window motors, a known '99 defect), comfortable, roomy, luxurious, good performing/handling, relatively economical, large family sedan. What has it not been? A Z28 SS, 'Stang, C5 Vette et. al. Yes, it may lose a bunch of stop light drags, but can you take the family for a week vacation comfortably in a Pony car? Compare it to cars for what it is, as I described above. If you're looking for an excellent luxury/sporty large sedan, the M deserves some serious consideration.
Good deals on new '01s also.
Good luck, enjoy whatever you buy. Enjoy the snow, folks.

How's things in Sharon. We're gonna get creamed in Beantown. Forecast is for 1 to 3 feet of the white stuff with up to 70mph winds!

Well at least the M is great in the snow. Glad I'm not driving a light rice burner. The M is the best car I've ever had for handling on sloppy roads. So bring it on! Our M's can handle it!

How bout that Ruiz beating Holyfield. Puts Boston back in the heavyweight spotlight!

    Bye for now

Okay, I know everybody thought I was nuts when I said I can get the windows unstuck by turning on the seat heaters. But you'll think I'm really crazy now. I think I know how to make the windows fail: the last two times the windows failed were after my wife used her key to operate the car.

I won't test the theory until I take the car into the dealer. Since they won't do anything unless they see the failure, I'll avoid using the seat heater until I can show them.

Igor, I'm very interested in what your window motor failure mechanism and alternate key (or is the FOB?) suspicions are.

Long story short, my wife had misplaced her 300M key for about 12 months, during which time period, I don't think I had any window motor problems. She found it about three months ago and would occasionally drive the 300M with it.

The window motor history since then...

Left rear window went INOP just about three months ago(?), the dealer replaced motor at 30K service about one month ago.

Since I had it 30K serviced about a month ago, I now have two more INOP windows, the left front and right rear.

Could it really be alternate key related? If so, DC is gonna feel pretty foolish.

Ok people, The JetChip Module is installed. The following link will show pics of the install, with a brief description of what it is.

Click Show all, there the last pics

Install took about 3 hours for me. I had a lot of trouble finding a switched power lead, & also had problems finding a hole to get through the firewall. After that, install was pretty easy. I ran the ground to a ground spot just behind the washer fluid cap. Cut the wire for the Map sensor. Crimped 1 wire from the JetChip module to 1 side, crimped the other wire from the Module to the other side of the cut wire, & that was done. Used the little squeeze crimp connector around the wire on the TPS sensor. Connected the wire from the Module to it, & that was done. Easy. For power I used one of the supplied fuse adapters, & used the Day Time running light fuse. This was installed on my 300M. Even though I did not have them. Took me a while to figure that out. There are no extra fuses, or acc fuse in the fuse box on the left side of the instrument panel. This is just bad design! So I took the DTRL fuse out, & used that. Getting the wires to the engine should be easier for most. I had a 4 gauge power wire from my stereo going through the hole. I had to cut the hole open to make room. This was hard because I could not get my big self in there. I also had to take the drivers seat out. This made it a lot easier for me. As I said this is for me. Others should not have so many problems. I choose to mount the module just under the dash, next to the parking brake release handle. I may move it later.

Now for the numbers everyone wants to know. I AM SORRY. I do not have any. I hooked my G-Tech up Saturday morning, & tried to make some base runs. However my unit is damaged, or needs calibration. It was giving me 9.8, 9.7, sec 0-60 runs, which cannot be right. Also had error on it when I first powered it up. But all is not lost. I'm sending it out today to be fixed. The module can be turned off. This will result in a bypass. The 300M will function without it. Then when I get it back, I can turn it off/on to make runs. I can tell a slight difference in acceleration. The addition of the JetChip module in my 300M does do something. To what degree is another story. It's a small improvement but not as much as adding the dual exhaust. There might be more of an improvement on a stock 300M, with no mods at all. I guess some others would need to test it out in a stock 300M to see.

Grushev and Rscheller: I think I have figured out what your problem is--you both have a screw loose and I believe you should get it checked out! Key, seat heaters--ya, ok whatever you say.

Hey, I drove from Houston to Framington three days after the 1978 big dump. After living in Honolulu nine years I was freaked out! Snow was piled 8-12 feet deep everywhere in the towns. My tech school at DEC was forced to run double shifts to catch up. In the spirit of things, we decided to go skiing on weekends and had a blast.
I ski twice a year now, and my kids love it too.
All of you in the path of this dangerous storm, please be extra careful.
    Regards, Silver

    Oops, I meant Framingham.

You're right; I meant fob. Each time the windows have failed it has been just the front windows (but always both of them). Each time immediately after my wife used her fob. Each time prior time fixed by turning on the seat heater (driver's seat heater to fix the driver's window, etc.).

Yes, clearly I'm deranged. After all, what could a key fob have to do with anything electrical in the car? It's not like it controls anything, right? Oh wait. It does do something with at least one seat. And it does control things in the doors. Nah... just coincidence.

So far the blizzard has been a bid dud. But, the winds have kicked up and the rain is turning to sleet which is turning to snow. They've cut back on the amounts, now talking 12-20"+ depending on locale.
Timing is actually great, 'cuz for the first time since '95 I'm heading to Killington to go skiing this weekend (probably like the rest of the Northeast skiing world, of course!). We'll be taking the Saab as I can put my K2's in the car using the armrest pass through. Wish the M had that so I could take it to snow country.
Anywho, M did fine coming/going to work in the wind/snow/sleet/rain today. My guess is no school tomorrow...
Hope everyone is safely at home.

Me too. I'm flying up to NYC for the weekend. Going skiing for the first time in upstate ny. All that snow.... I can't wait. I wish I was there with my M right now. I would love to see what it can do in the snow.

I've got to start learning to live with this crappy Town Hall software and go back to reading the board several times a day. Sounds like Pat is making a lot of waves (no opinion as to whether she/he is right or wrong)! We've never had many problems in the year + that I have been on this board so I'm not sure what's going on now. Still love my 15K 2000 M!
Fuzz-What are you trying to do with your post, drive us nuts!?!? ;-) You finally get the chip in and aren't able to come up with numbers? I have Jetchip on speed dial and am just waiting for a positive response from someone before I jump. Now I have to wait longer!!! ARRRRGGGGHHH! :-)
