popular option you can find at hyundaiusa website, which cost 600$ but invoice may be 550$, tax6%, title and others may be 200$ so my invoice price may be 700-800$ under invoice from the reported invoice price(21250$). good luck
OK, I think the translation is, "The Popular Equipment Package (which retails for $600 and has an invoice price of $546) consists of premium seat cloth, steering wheel audio controls, automatic headlights, heated mirrors, driver seat lumbar support, and trip computer."
Go back a couple of pages on this posting (page 89) and you will find my rant. I have an ongoing complaint with the Better Business Beaureu against this dealer (Roseville Hyundai). So do many others. The dealer denies any wrong doing while claiming they gave me a price on the car that no other could come close to matching. Yeah Right! Beware my friend. Do your homework. Look at the dealer ratings on websites like Yahoo. Even Hyundai Consumer Affairs is coming around to my side and has their internal review board looking at my case and the dealer. Several other people have posted good results with other dealers here in Calif. Good luck.
Can anyone share their experience/pricing for the current lease promotion: 2008 GLS FWD A/T for $279/month. What are the lease terms that apply to this? I also assume none of the rebates apply to leases? Thanks in advance.
I just got quoted a price of $23.7k on a 07 GLS base unit, and an offer of $3k off (rebate) or 21.7k with 1.9% financing. What do you guys think of this?
I'm comparing this against a CR-V EX for $23k flat, or a Nissan Rogue SL for around $22.1k.
After reading of the importance of selecting a Hyundai dealer and wanting a Santa Fe, I was told by Hyundai owners in my area of their frustration with the two nearby dealers. For an increase in warranty and liking the Santa Fee GLS base unit 2008, I rethought the difficulties I'd experienced with my Dodge minivan and frustrating service... even under warranty.
Consequently, I'm now researching the Honda RV which has all 5 stars on crash test (with a 4 star on rollover which is true of all the other Crossovers).... at best. I'm now looking for a CRV EX Automatic Base 2008 2WD... with a recent price stated on the internet of $20,145
Please if anyone knows of a dealer who is offering a better price , let us know. This website is wonderful in helping all of us in these difficult financial times.
Check the CRV forums on Edmunds for the best price. BTW - After shopping 07's and 08's, I also backed off the Santa Fe for a variety of reasons. Wound up finding a used Acura MDX with low miles (and some factory warranty left) for the same $21,000 you are talking about. Even though its a few years old, its more car than the Santa Fe with far less question marks. I felt that was the better buy for me. Bottom line - Shop around, do your homework, consider all the options out there and don't be afraid to play hard ball when negotiating new or used. Then buy the SUV that is right for you.
I'm getting closer and closer to deciding on an '07 or '08 Santa Fe (also considering an '07 or '08 CX-7 or a used previous-generation Murano). Will most likely buy before the end of March.
Anyone know of some good dealers in the Denver/Boulder/Longmont area? Specifically, are there any considered "high volume" that might possibly get down to the "Fitzmall" area? I know Fitzgerald well, I used to live in Maryland, but 3000+ miles is a bit far to buy a car! Anywhere up to Fort Collins or down to the Springs would be considered (though the Springs is a bit far away).
I took a brief test drive of an '08 at Longs Peak Hyundai in Longmont and was impressed with the car and the dealership - very low pressure. One thing I've noticed in my research is that there seems to be lots of GLS and loads of Limiteds, but not so many SE's - which is what I'm leaning towards. I don't like leather, but I want the bigger V6 (we've got these mountains, y'know), so an AWD SE seems to be my target. Opinions?
I bought mine at Arapahoe Hyundai down in Centennial. They are family owned, high volume and definitely willing to deal. I highly recommend dealing with June Reynolds, who is their internet sales manager. She cut me a fantastic deal with no haggling. It was absolutely the best and easiest car buying experience I've ever had, and I walked out this fall with an 07 SF Limited AWD for almost 5500 under the MSRP.
I can't help you with regard to Colorado dealers (I'm in California) but I can tell you that I'm extremely pleased with my 2007 Limited AWD (leather and all). I've owned some very nice (and much more expensive) vehicles over the years and this Santa Fe really holds its own. It's a genuine pleasure to drive.
Regarding SE vs. Limited, to me the Limited is a no-brainer. Besides the leather, consider that it gives you:
Dual-zome automatic climate control Rear spoiler (which is more than just a styling element - it helps keep the rear window free of water during light rain) Infinity audio system (N/A on SE) HomeLink (optional on SE) Ability to order navigation (N/A on SE)
Hi, I just bought (this week) a 2008 SE FWD with just the basic package.Vehicle came with wheel locks and cargo cover and the color is Deepwater Blue. I purchased for approx. $1500 under invoice. My price (before tax, tags, etc) was $21,500. I'm no car buying expert, but I used Edmunds to get dealer quotes and purchased ($14) the Consumer Reports New Car Price Service to help me get a feel for the dealer costs. Dealer was basically "no-hassle" and they even took my trade-in (2000 Mazda MPV w/188,000 miles and flashing check engine light!) I'm pretty happy with the deal. FYI I live in the Northern VA/Wash. DC area.
I love the leather seats. I'm not that tall, so it's easier for me to slide across the seat when getting in. My seats are heated - love those toasty buns and back!
Brown's Manassas Hyundai. Also got a pretty good deal offer from Fairfax Hyundai, but went with Brown's. Both dealerships seemed pretty easy to deal with.
I bought my SF from Fairfax Hyundai and they were terrific. I live in MD and drove an hour and a half to buy from them. The Hyundai dealers in Md would not budge on their prices so they lost a sale. Fairfax Hyundai was very easy to deal with.
I agree with the other posts about Arapaphoe and June Reynolds. We got an 07 AWD Limited with premium package from June Reynolds a year ago for $25,200 OTD. Great experience.
I have previously posted negative comments about Roseville Hyundai. Recently Roseville Hyundai has agreed to resolve my complaint with the help of the local Better Business Beaureu. I have agreed not to post any futher negative comments about Roseville Hyundai and would like to thank them for finally offering goodwill in this matter.
SH, sorry, I've been off the boards for a few days. The price was for an FWD, though I think they would do the same for AWD. I got that general discount mentioned on a Limited as well.
Your open and honest posting allows the rest of us to understand how important the quality of the dealer and the cooperation of the Better Business Bureau is when purchasing a vehicle.
Thank you for your perseverance and consumer awareness which helps all of us.
Does anyone have info on Hyundai dealers in Arizona? Am looking for a hassle free good deal on a 07 or 08 Santa Fe; prefer SE, but might go for a GLS. I would travel a distance to neighboring states to get a better deal if necessary. Thanks for all the great comments!
Hi was wondering if you guys think I did allriight today at the dealers... I purchased a 2008 Santa Fe Limited AWD with DvD Nav system... Here is the Breakdown on the sales sheet: Sub Total: 30,000 Trade-In: 1,500 Rebate: 2.000 All said and done with Rebates, Trade-In, Tax Title and Red ( was a 2001 Elantra that was not in the best shape but bot AWFUl either.... got much more than expected on Trade In) $28,642
Did I do allright? Or did I get mY head Ripped? Sounds like I did allright.... but never am sure.... What do you guys think? Yoda
Ocean, I'm in Phoenix area, I shopped Larry Miller, Chapman and North Scottsdale Hyundai. Got the best treatment and by far the best pricing at North Scottsdale. They have good stock of '08s, the other dealers still are trying to get rid of 07s. NS gave me a better deal on an 08 than Chapman worked up on an 07, plus the sales manager at Chapman was insulting. I figure they should treat a cusomter better.
My wife and I are trying to buy a SE model 2008 Santa Fe. I was hoping for some advice on a couple of fronts. First, does anyone have any experiences with any dealers in NC, especially around Greensboro?
Second, whats a good starting point to begin negotiating? Edmunds lists the invoice at around $23,000 so I thought of starting at $22,500.
Lastly, I have good credit, so I calculated that taking the $2000 rebate would be better than any APR deals since I should be able to get about 5%-6% financing.
$22,500 - $2000 rebate - $1500 tradein = $19000
Does that look about right or am I way off? thanks in advance
I'd offer $1500 under invoice (minus all applicable rebates) but that's probably a lowball offer. Still, it's a good starting point. If you end up buying for $500 - $1500 under invoice (LESS rebates) you'll have gotten a deal that you can feel very good about.
Mpuzach, thanks for the response.. I feel real dumb now since I just bought a 2008 Altima for $100 below invoice I thought dealers just wouldn't sell for under invoice, I must be really uninformed.. So starting at 21,500 would be your suggestion?
Has anyone delt with the O'brien Auto Park in Urbana, IL or Carmack Car Capital in Danville, IL? I'm soon looking to buy a Sante Fe from one of these two dealers if possible. Help.......Mike
Lately there have been quite a few posts requesting opinions on pricing, "Is this a good deal?", "How much should I pay?", etc. Unfortunately, most of these requests come with insufficient information to respond with sound advice. When asking such questions here on the forum, you'll get much more qualified responses if you include:
- The vehicle's M.S.R.P. - The vehicle's invoice price (easily available at Edmunds.com) - All specific model info (including year, trim level, FWD / AWD) - All options
Failure to provide this info just forces potential respondants to look it up; I for one simply will no longer take the time to do that. If you provide the info, however, I'll always do my best to offer sound advice. Just a thought.
M.S.R.P is 28100 Invoice price is 26383 2008 Limited trim Fwd Just base model no option
IMpuzach im sorry not to mention that kind of information..
I just send back email to them im wondering if they can sell it by 22.5K they told the bottom line is 24.5K Im wondering if it's good deal I think if I just minus 2000$ rebate with invoice price is gonna be 24383. im kinda curious it's good deal
You should be able to buy the car for somewhere between $500 and $1000 UNDER invoice, LESS REBATES. That puts a reasonable purchase price between $25,383 and $25,883, LESS REBATES, plus taxes and registration. If their price of $24,500 reflects $2000 in rebates, then they're really selling the car to you for $26,500 which is $117 ABOVE invoice. At that number, they're at least $617 too high IMO.
Ok, bought the Santa Fe SE with the following info.. My offer of 18000 out the door was ridiculous and I know it! Went to another dealer in Greensboro.
Invoice was about 23,300 with mats and cargo cover
23,300 - 2000 rebate - 1500 trade = 20,300
We agreed on 19,200 + Tax, tag, etc. So, looks like I got it for $1100 under invoice, which makes me happy.
Beautiful vehicle, easy to drive, most importantly, surprised the wife. She was on her way home in her beat-up 98 cavalier and I called her and told her to swing by the dealership. She was very happy!
Thanks for the help, really appreciate the info I got from here.

so my invoice price may be 700-800$ under invoice from the reported invoice price(21250$). good luck
The Invoice is $24,073 and there is currently a $1500 rebate (cash back).
We're not interested in any options ( but may not be able to find an '07 without options).
What would be a good price? We'd love to purchase this vehicle for
~$21,000, do you think this price is too low?
We're located in RI and will be purchasing either in RI or nearby Massachusetts.
I'm comparing this against a CR-V EX for $23k flat, or a Nissan Rogue SL for around $22.1k.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Really REALLY don't like leather. Cloth is much more grippy on the twisties, plus cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Auto climate control: I'll do it myself, thanks! 8>)>
No need for HomeLink (no garage).
Navigation? Pssshhh. Mountains, west. Plains, east.
Horses for courses, I guess.
All the best.

I'd buy that right now if I could
Invoice 22,900 - 1400 under invoice - 2000 rebate - 1500 trade = $18000..
We'll see!
I want to make it below 23K <== is it possible? seems like imposible according to dealer
Im kinda considering btween CR-V and Santafe..
What should I do? should I buy by that price? (24.5K)
