I have been following this thread and it has helped a lot with getting to a reasonable price. Here is what I have been quoted from VW for a 2014 VR6 Lux:
MSRP 53380
Purchase Price 45030.49
Money Factor .00016
Residual .42
Miles 15k
Term 39
Cash at signing 4k (2040 taxes, 625 acq fee, 75 doc fee, 574.91 first payment, 685.09 down)

Payment 574.91/mo

I confirm both the .00016 MF and 42% residual for 39/15. I assume the $5000 lease cash is built into your purchase price.

Even though it's a small amount ($685), I wouldn't recommend you put any money down. It will only increase your payment about $17-18/mo, and you risk losing that money if the car is stolen or totaled.

Not much else to do that will lower your payment.

TDI Sport numbers any different from the Lux? Also curious for 12k miles, but mostly for the cringe factor after seeing that residual...

All TDI numbers are the same.. Add 2% for 12K/yr.
