2007 Outlook XR key stuck in acc. position.
The key will not turn to off, stuck in acc. I have no power to the windows, sunroof, seat and seat heaters, and no brake lights, and the mirrors have no power either. I took the car to the local GM dealer who told me the ignition was not in any recall and found that the Body Control Module was bad and needed replacement. Any other people out there with a similar experience?

There was/is a problem on Outlooks with water from a leaking right side sunroof drain shorting out the BEC module. (Bussed Electrical Center). Sounds like the key issue is separate.

Oh yeah, they can, given enough time and enough water dripping on them.

Sorry , it is the Outlook XR.
The dealer service determined that in fact it was water from the roof drain on the passenger side that caused corrosion and shorting of three wires in the harness on the right side floor board. I was not aware that sheathed copper wires could corrode.
