What is the name of this part on the ML350

Can someone help me? I am trying to find out the name of the part in the back of the ML350 which is hinged and when one lifts it up, it provides access to the spare tire.

Also, if anyone knows the approximate price of the part that would be helpful.

Thanks

    Cargo lid? Cargo liner?

It is not a cargo liner. I could not find the "cargo lid" item when I googled it. I need to replace the hinged lid that lifts up and beneath sits the spare tire. It is this part that I cannot locate online.

Called a Mercedes dealership and it is called a "bottom loading floor cover" and costs $399.

what happened to the old lid?

The old lid is badly stained. I am considering taking over an existing lease on a ML350 and I am pretty sure this will come up when the car is turned in at the end of the lease. I wanted an idea as to what it would cost.

It is entirely functional other than this stain that cannot be removed using the usual cleansing agents and anything more harsh will likely cause discoloration.

Is it carpeted? Or, is the stain on hard plastic?

It is carpeted. It almost appears as if something hot singed the carpet.

I wonder what an upholstery shop would charge to just restore what's there.

Well, that is an option for sure. I just wanted an idea what it would cost me if the part needed to be replaced before I assume the lease.

Good thinking. It's also possible they might miss this on the inspection--but it sounds like it is rather conspicuous.
