Here's what I did: I used the Edmunds Price Promise on about 10 different dealers and then took the lowest quote from the emails and kept shopping it around to see who wanted to win the business the most.
As you may know, there's $1,500 dealer cash going on right now so your quote of $36,800 is still $302 under invoice minus dealer cash, which is not bad. However, there's still $700 in dealer holdback there to play around with.
How I was able to get the price? I don't know, honestly, since $38,602 (invoice) minus $1,500 (dealer cash) minus $700 (holdback) = $36,402 and I got it for $500 less (they made some back in the $400 doc fee). I'm guessing that the dealership sold it at very close to break even or there's a regional thing going on here where Acura is giving additional dealer support on the back end and it's not public. Either way -- the price was an absolute no brainer.
Looking to buy a 1015 RDX AWD base in NJ area. Thanks for posting the prices, gives a great idea of how much to pay. @fire_ & @rdx_2015 looks like you got great deals, would you be able to share the dealer information ? Thanks
On a side note people who have paid for the "Technolgy Package" trim , do you think it is worth it? I see mixed reviews about the navigation, so wasn't sure.

I think it's totally worth it! I bought a Tech AWD last month. Loving it!
Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum. It does make car buying more helpful. I got a quote from a Chicago area Dealer for '14 RDX AWD w Tech for $36,913 +TTL + Doc Fee of $200. When compared to the factory invoice $38,902 this seems like a good deal.. What does everyone think? Given the $1,500 inventive from Acura to Dealers, is there more room to negotiate?

I am in Chicago too. I bought 2015 RDX AWD Tech package back in March for $36,500+Tax and Fees. $36,913 is not bad. They might be able to lower it by a couple hundred.
I just traded in a 2015 Rdx with tech, two months old, 1,500 miles on it the vehicle suspension was to hard for an old guy like me. I had paid $36k plus tax and dealer fee of $700. Vehicle handle nice but most people who knew about Acura agreed with me on the rough ride, traded in for a new Lexus what a diff. In the ride, more old school. I think if I was younger it would have been fine. The tech. Package was nice with the large screen. Trade in price $31,500 so I took quite a loss
Looking to buy new RDX AWD w/Tech. Seems like money back from earlier posts is no longer available and financing is at 1.89%. So far all quotes I get are in $38-39K area. Have I missed my chance for this year? I am in MA.
I just got quoted $35,990 for 2015 RDX with Tech before TTL. Am I going to be able to get a better price or should I just jump on it? All negotiations are done via email and the dealer is 80 miles away from me.

I have been shopping for a 2015 RDX AWD with Tech in NJ and received quotes close to $36,400. As Fire_ said in earlier post, $36,400 is equal to invoice minus dealer cash minus holdback. You can try for a few hundred more off since your model does not have AWD.
I'll be waiting until 2016 RDX models hit the lots. I assume dealers will have great incentives ($$) to sell 2015 models.

Actually this was an AWD model and there were few to select from. It was a bummer to drive 80 miles to that dealer... I just had another, local dealer, come up with even lower price - 35,800. Same color, same options. But the worst thing is I now kind of like Lexus NX200
rdx_2015 - can you disclose which dealership in Norther NJ you got those price. The best i see from Edmund PP response so far is $36.5K+ for 2015 RDX AWD with tech, appears to include dest (but without Tax & Title)
Looks like your selling price is ~$1,000 under invoice (including destination).
We show destination as $920, not sure what the other $20 is about. $600 seems high for a remote starter but can't say I've ever priced one. Looks like $399 is the MSRP per acura.com.
@Stever, you are right - the destination charge is $920 ( I checked my purchase doc)
The remote start is $399 but the installation charge is $2xx. I recently added to my 2016 MDX as well from the dealership. The Acura remote start key fob replaces the original keyfob that comes with the car. I just negotiated the remote start in the price.

Since it was an AWD $35,800 sounds very good. Good luck with your hunt.
