But living in an area that is below sea level is dangerous. The Netherlands are similar, but they have dikes which work better than earthen levies.

My prayers are with the folks who live in the path of Barry. 20” of rain is certainly no laughing matter.

Seeing those ships going by over your head makes you realize what a soup bowl New Orleans is. It's a really stunning site.

I did like when Fats Domino semi-retired, only playing in New Orleans. Said he couldn't eat anyplace else.

Well this one didn't do so well around Cincy in a 13-car accident on I275. The guard bar fell off.
I'm trying to figure out the red curved piece to the right of the front of the truck.

Looks like the left fender flare ripped loose. Not a pretty site, hopefully no injuries, perhaps bruised ego.

Most of those bars are just cosmetic. You’d probably be better off painting them on.

Thanks, Explorer. I'll check out the EVAP warranty. But, the check engine light extinguished last night, so perhaps a gas cap issue after all. Let's see if it remains dormant...

As I"ve noted, I've liked wristwatches since I was a kid. I buy them for me, I don't wave them in anyone's face. I enjoy the artistry, the craftsmanship and the history. As well as the function. I believe most folks wouldn't know an IWC from an Omega from a Timex. Matters not, I do.

Years ago, the ex. stopped wearing the nice watches I gave her, she said only old folks wear 'em. She could get the time from her laptop or cell phone. Or, apparently, by constantly asking me when we were skiing as she couldn't be bothered pulling her gloves off the pull her cell phone out of her parka... Not being a slave to trends has it's advantages. Last time I saw her, she was wearing one of the inexpensive watches I had given her. She must have forgotten that it came from me!

Definitely the fender flare hanging off there.

As said above, some of these bars are useless. I have seen more than one that was bolted to nothing structural. And those on unibody vehicles are only begging for trouble. Would you rather your bumper take the hit or the car’s structure? Honestly, they should be illegal since they bypass the federally mandated bumpers and crash protection.

I just noticed on that truck, the rear axle angle is way off. Kind of looks like the side airbags were deployed. Serious damage.

I like that it has the day of the week as I often forget that, the month, you have to try and figure out the number of the month....and what is that small 3 near the bottom right side?

So, now I have the world’s longest 1-car garage... not really, but I had an 8-ft by 12-ft garden shed added to the end, and had a new roof and siding put on to make it look good. This will get the garden stuff out of the garage and give me more space for Cutlass things. Landscaping needs some rehab post-renovations but this is a good upgrade. Picture to come since I’m outside on my phone and cannot add the pic I just took.

That is crazy. Something must have gone wrong...their website doesn't even list that car. Maybe they were just testing to see if anyone would actually inquire. That is about the worst used car I have ever seen advertised. You sure can find them oldfarmer

Neighbor asked me if I was going into the limo business.

It is actually 2 separate spaces, the original garage back wall still exists inside, but they installed a sliding barn-type door to give internal access between the spaces.

before I was born, my parents had a Metro, along with some normal car (chevy wagon I think). our house was a rancher on a side slope, so the garage went full front to back, so based on the bedrooms above, must have been 24-26'? I am not a great judge.

anyway, my point is, they used to park them both in the 1 car garage nose to tail.

I think an engineer should be able to answer the question better than that.
Maybe it is for the 3rd month....March. If it is the 12th month there would be a 1 on the left, a 2 on the right.

I was curious, thinking that it was the wrong carfax (occasionally I have seen them link on to a different car), but it was the right one. same VIN #.

I did a quick look to see if I could find the actual law, I couldn't but I found something by the Nevada state police. They said it has to be human and occupy their own seat. I did find a court case stating that a fetus in a mothers womb didn't count as it didn't occupy it's own seat.
