2015 BMW 328Xd Sport Wagon lease | 3-series

edited August 2014 in BMW

I am trying to help my son lease a 2015 diesel wagon. Can you tell me the lease money factor and residual percent for 36 months 10K per year? This will be an ordered car. On an ordered car what is a reasonable amount to pay over the dealer invoice for the car? Are there any incentives on this vehicle this early in the model year? Thank you for your help. And one last question a dealer has told us that the residual is based on the negotiated price of the car not the sticker price. Is that correct?

    .00130 MF and 62% residual.

Most BMW dealers will give you about the same deal on an ordered car as a car off the lot, unless that car on the lot has special incentives. On a new 2015, you can calculate the invoice, then add training/ad fees of about $500, then somewhere around $500-$1250 over that is a fair selling price. There are no incentives on this model.

The residual information is incorrect. Residual is always a percentage of the full MSRP.

Thank you once again for the information. The dealer is hot to push us into a loaded left over 2014 diesel. I suspect there are incentives on the 2014. Do you know if there are any incentives and the amount of any incentives on the 2014? I guess I would also need the MF and residual on the 2014 sedan as there are no 2014 wagons in the north east............or so I am told

yes, thanks! I assume that 10K/yr would bump the residual to 64% similar to last month.

    Any September numbers for 2014?
    328d xDrive Sport Wagon
    328i xDrive Sport Wagon

    Thanks, much!

Got what sounds like a really good offer on a 328i (sorry didn't mean to hijack the diesel thread...) xDrive Sport Wagon 2014: MSR $50,035; cap $44,935. Lease factor 0.00130; Residual 64%. Down $0; Monthly lease $472.

Only problem is that I need to pull the trigger today, as pricing/incentives will change starting 9/4.

Just not sure what to do. Wait and hope for an even better deal (possibly on the 2015 model)? Or go ahead and make the deal.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Base MF and good discount from sticker .. only way to make it better is to use MSD to lower the MF.

I agree, the MF is marked up - base is .00130 (will be .00081 after MSD). Also, the acquisition fee is marked up as well (base is $725).

Doesn't look like that good of a deal - there is $1000 holiday cash and a $500 eco credit, so you're only getting a discount of about $2400 from sticker.

What may be working against you is supply - I can't imagine there are a lot of 328xd Wagons available. Dealer may know this and using it to increase the prices on you.

    Update:

They will do MF 0.0013 and 0.00081 after MSD.

Now, do I accept the $51,838 (7% off MSRP but including $1500 of incentives) or try for more?  What is best case that you have seen: 9% total off, 10%?

Yes, these are not that available, which plays in their favor.

The MF reduction alone is good.

If you don't ask, you don't get ... I don't keep track of individual deals, so I can't say what the best discount I've seen.

    All set. Final details:

    39m, 15k/yr
    MSRP: $55,740
Cap Cost: $51,838.20 with discount and incentives (7% below MSRP)
MF: .0013, reduced to 0.00081 with MSD (7)
    Residual: 60%
    Tax is 6.25% of payment
Fees due at signing: total of $2068.07 (see below for breakdown)
    MSD Cost: $4200
    Monthly Payment: $585.81/month

Total cost of 39/15k lease: 24,328.85 in comparison to initial dealer's offer of 26,852 (MF 0.0017).

    Dealer is providing small extras:
-BMW winter slush mats and cargo mat
    -BMW stainless travel mugs
-Loaner for 3-4 weeks until new vehicle arrives and before lease period begins.

All negotiating done via email, 10 messages, very pleasant and simple with transparency for MF, Residual, Cap Cost, Fees. This is in Boston, a competitive BMW market.

    **FEES of the lease:
    First payment: $599
    Bank fee of $982.81
    Registration $55
    Title fee $75
    Title prep fee $5
    Documentation $298

I could not get more than 7% below MSRP, but they provided that without haggling when I asked for their best price. This DOES include the $1000 holiday credit and $500 eco credit, so the incentives got me to invoice price. Dealer immediately accepted my lower MF's when I stated the numbers I wanted. For a relatively less common diesel wagon, I am pleased. This vehicle is NOT on their lot, they identified one in production and secured it for me. I selected all colors and options. They will allow me to place the initial down payment (about $6200) on my CC, so that I receive the 3% rewards.

    Thanks for your help!
