The dealer in GA was (and may still be) selling them for under invoice including dealer fees. There is supposed to be a $500 incentive on the 07 Accords (but it is not listed on Edmunds) and some dealers may be willing to deal into the hold back. Hold back on a Honda is 3% of MSRP so on a car with a $25k sticker this is $750. So "in theory" a dealer could make a profit selling a car for under invoice because of the hold back. Most dealers do not deal into the hold back at all - invoice less any rebates and incentives is always their bottom line. I would normally not expect to get a deal that is into the hold back, but I have gotten deals before that would have been money losers for the dealer if not for the hold back.

NAV equipped cars are harder to find and may not be discounted as much, but $21k for a 32k car with almost no warranty does not sound like a good deal to me.

I have received three quotes from dealers in the Orlando area for an coupe LX automatic. The car prices quoted over the internet are:
19,623, 19,523 and 20,423.
These prices do include the destination fee but do not include the $599 doc fee. Is this doc fee now a standard fee or just dealers trying to get more out of me. Just wondering if I should insist they drop the fee.
....the current CarsDirect price for the actually rather fleet (better numbers than my '69 CorVette from my Navy days) Accord EX V-6 6M coupe is almost a whopping 3 grand higher than the price I paid fall semester '05...........
..the dollar against the yen, inflation, the Honda name (I concur on this last)........all must play a role.........
great car.
best, ez......
The advertised special is $239 per month for 36, 12k miles per year, with $1,499 due at signing. Neither the payment nor the up front money includes any TTL and the net cap cost is $19,093.25.
So you got the same payment as the special and paid $499 less at signing - so you beat it by $499 AND the cost of the tags and title (isn't that high in CA?) AND maybe some taxes. In CA I think you pay sales tax on top of the monthly payment ($239 + tax) but I am not sure if any tax is do on a cap cost reduction.
It all depends on how much the title and tags cost there as to how "good" the deal is or not. Invoice on the I4 SE AT is $20,587.
To me, you paid little money up front and you get a new Accord SE to drive for $239 a month taxes - so in any book that is a good deal (and you did better than the advertised lease special). Could you have done better? I can't say without knowing the tags/title/taxes answers but you certainly did not get ripped off if does not appear

Apologies if I'm in wrong forum.
Does it seem like there is a better rate to be had out there? :confuse:
Does that price include the alarm system? If not, that would add another $800 or so. I think it's an average deal even if the alarm is included. I got a quote from a salesperson in Palo Alto, CA for $18,500 (does not include any special offers you received nor the alarm system). So, I'm also waiting for a better offer. BTW, if you're paying for a $20k item, I think you should get the color of your choice (try another dealer if possible)
Reading some of the forums, I used the leather wipes to clean my leather seats.
To my surprise, the car seat look extremely shiny and odd.
It was rich looking before this coming straight from the dealer.
Please let me know if this shine is permanent or if it would go away in a few weeks ? It looks really odd and so after applying to the passenger seat, i stopped applying it to the other seats.

Thanks to RUSSELL & SMITH Honda in Houston for this deal and not giving me any BS when I came in to do the paperwork. I would give the name of the sales person I worked with but I don't think that is allowed on this board. Just tell them David P. who recently bought a Silver 07 EX-L 4Cyl Accord sent you and you want a similar deal.
Hope it helps someone.
Is the dealership called riverside honda in Riverside , CA? Does your include navigation/ I'm looking for one here in ACCORD EX-L V6 WITH NAVI LEATHER SEATS ( I belive those are standard in this one)Seattle and sticker price is 29950 invoice is $27400 in somne dealerships 27.075 . They even trying to add destionation of $595 saying it is not included in those prices. What is tax in ca ? Can you suggest what to offer since you got yours recently? Thanks

That statement about the car had from the previous model year comes from every dealer who does not want you to negotiate hard. I have heard it many times. Dont let it bother you.
If you are flying out to LA area, get some more qoutes from the other dealers I mentioned. Then you will get a better price.
Can you give me what would you offer them just to help out. THey hate talking to the women. I hate it myself. I just talk to oen dealership in OR, they seem to be lower but all of them want $27700+tax licence invoice for this car is only 27075 and that is still not their cost. What do you think I should offer out of the door including tax and everything? Thanks again Hey where are you anyway
Dennis
$24,963 is supposed to be the invoice for an 07 EX-L w/NAV. I have read there is a $500 dealer incentive on 07 Accords ($750 on remaining 06 sedans). There is 3% of MSRP for hold back as well.
So if we take $24,963 - $500 - $829 = $23,634. So even if there is a $500 dealer incentive then they gave it to you along with 100% of their hold back and STILL lost $134 on the deal. So either you had a trade to make the dealer some money, you are posting the wrong price by mistake, or the dealer is nuts
