Thanks for all the useful information in this forum!
What was the MSRP on that car? 27540
Must be a regional incentive b/c it's 24098 here in Ohio (where it's built)!
Do you like your V-4? :surprise:
Today I purchased an 2010 Accord Ex-L i4 Sedan (no Navi) for $22,799.
Only add on were wheel locks for $54.66 (sticker price was $91)
Taxes (9.75%) $2,233.59
Lic Fees: $268
Reg fee: $81
CA Tire fees: $8.70
Total OTD: $25,500
Location: Bay Area. I sent out many emails to multiple dealerships, and this one was the best internet quote I received. Once I got to the dealership, the manager said the quote was not negotiable...blah blah blah.
I could have gone to another dealership or waited for another day...but after making a couple more calls, I decided the price was within the buying range. So I took it. Thank you all.

Could you please give dealership details? I am looking to buy in next 7-10days.
Thanks a lot,
Prak

Pricing:
Price: 24,200
Price w/ features: 24,755
OTD: 26,400
Financed with 0.9% APR for 36 months.
The following 3 gave me the most competitive quotes around SF Bay Area:
Fremont Honda
Livermore Honda
Anderson (Palo Alto) Honda
Best of luck.
A local desler here is quoting $24429 for a 2010 EX-L + licensing fee and tax. Is this a good price? Another dealer but $60 miles away came at $23990.
Another related question. We typically keep a car for a long time (10+ years). Is it worth going in for the 100K miles bumper to bumper warranty or si that an overkill for a Honda?
I test drove the EX-L (I4) and simply love it.
Thanks
Shub
Thanks!
Second question, I then hear about options that are already installed on ALL the vehicles on the lot. Splash guards, wheel locks, tint, cargo tray, door edge guards, a package that ranges from $900 at one dealer to $1600 at another dealer. Whats up with that? Is this a standard practice?
Thanks in advance for your response.
finally, after much debating between camry and accord, i chose to go with accord.
please can anyone of you suggest what will be a good price for accord LX. also will the price differ depending on mode of payment - make complete payment or go for financing through dealership.
also please suggest on how what kind of questions to ask when speaking to dealer. this is my first car purchase.
thank you all for your suggestions.
regards,
sandy

Dealer is Jeff Sheng at Open Road Honda, Edison NJ. He's a good guy and fairly honest.
They threw in free wheel locks and your choice of third party remote starter( which I chose) versus 3 years free oil change.
Every state has different tax rate, every dealer has different fees.
Please post price paid that includes the shipping but excludes tax title and fees. That will mean a lot more for those looking at this forum and try to get a better pricing structure.
Overall very happy with the car and the service at Bellevue Honda, Bellevue, WA is phenomenal.
24261 for exl-v6
710 for destination
7% tax in NJ
thanks so much.
Is it with navigation?
I stay in South FL and need EX L w/o navigation
any pointers?
for EX-L black without navigation and I4
Final OTD was 25,500..I walked out
Do you think I can do better?whats the price I should pay..I am thinking it should be under $24k..any pointers
i am planning to buy accord lx. best price i got is 19200+dmv. this is w/o tax.

please can u let me know if this is ok deal.
thank u
sandy
i am in west coast - OR. we donot have sales tax here. so is this the reason?
i am not able to get a lower price from any of the dealerships around OR/WA.
thank you,
sandy
with 6.5% tax + title and registration
Out of the door 20150.
Is title and registration fee charged by dealer or the state DMV?
If by the former, how much is it reasonable?
Thanks
finally, after much debating between camry and accord, i purchased accords LX today. my main concern with camry was obviously the whole recall thing happening otherwise i prefer camry for its features and low noise levels. but safety is more important so i went with accord.
coming to price - i went through postings in this forum from march onwards and made list of prices for lx and had a target price in mind.
i did through internet rather than going directly to the dealership.
i realized that dealers where i live - OR, were not willing to really budge unless you send them quote from another dealer. so i suggest to do most of the shopping through emails so that you can have quotes which you can then forward to other dealerships to beat the price.
so finally i got LX for 18600+ dmv (=350 in OR for 4 yrs)= 18950 OTD. this price does not include tax as OR does nt hv sales tax.
thanks so much...this forum really helped.
thank you,
sandy
Hope this helps.
I got 25K OTD price..new tag,6% tax
so what would be the numbers?22414+ 6% tax + tag?
Should we add destination also?
Here comes the newer update.Delaer tells me that the price is highly discounted and may promotions are diff from April
So at this price,we cant expect the Honda's promotional APR..Are they trying to rip me off?
so quoting 25k and will have to go via some other financing as Honda APR cannot be claimed..to reduce the price he is asking for any proof of somebody purchasing it at a lower price..any help and suggestions plz?
My 2 cents:
You can ask for price with 1.9%
or
You can get APR% from your personal bank and use that as leverage to bargain with dealer!
