Pearl White, 2009 Limited V6, $22700 including doc. fee. Buying process was easy. Only pain was to wait couple of days for the delivery as dealer did not have any Pearl White in stock.
The dealer; Nashua Hyundai was very nice and treated us very well. They gave us a loaner for two days while we waited for the car to arrive. There were better offers but not by much. We decided to go local as they treated us well.
The car is really nice. The interior is well designed and V6 is definitely worth it.
I am on my first tank of gas and on highway at 65mph, I see 31mpg.
V6 limited is pretty much loaded. Leather, sunroof, upgraded audio, alloy wheels are all standard. Only significant options are Navigation ($1200) and Bluetooth ($300). Rest are small things like mats, cargo net, cargo tray etc.
Good luck

I just bought a new 2008 Sonata 4cyl loaded here in Canada for $7k below original MSRP.
The same model seems to be selling in the US for a further $6k less.
I previously paid $40 for the wholesale cost summary info but all it really told me was that the invoice/msrp markup was 8%. No info on dealer incentive or holdback.
My sister-in-law is from Vancouver and she has said the same thing, but still thinks it's better than in the States. She now lives in Portland with my Brother and their 2 Daughters. I say no thanks. I'll stick with the plans that are offered by my wife and my employers. At least I get to pick my doctor and get in immediately. No bureaucrat telling me when and where to go to get a heart cath when and if I need it.
The invoice on this would be $22829 plus you would have to purchase alloy wheels which would probably be another $600 or so. If you can get them to $1500 below invoice and then subtract the $1500 cash rebate you would be at $20429. Add your tax/doc fees/title....you would be close to $21500.
However, there were still several '08s on the lot. And it looked like some of these equipped with everything, could come close to your 20k figure. Maybe under.......
Good luck...... I sure like mine
Having paid off the machinery, and having my daily driver, a 94 Merc Sable, decide it was time to quit....... My thought was to get into a car without getting ripped up having to pay a premium for said car, or pay extortionist interest rate {a friend of mine paid 23% to get a repo'd Focus}
It came down to an '07 Taurus rental return with everything, or the '08 GLS V6 (new} that I bought. Price difference was 6k. However, the Sonata is so much more car, can't be expressed in a few words...... {two different dealers}
With the 3k rebate, and the dealer discount, I paid $4500 less than the sticker. Price of car including the above, was $16,999. "Out the Door" with the taxes etc, was a bit of 19k. But all things considered, I feel pretty good about things.
If my credit had been excellent, I could have beat the interest rate {I got 11%}, and probably would have been in a stronger position to talk price. Considering my position, I think I did well.......
Good luck

I also noticed Edmunds.com still has the TMV of the 2009 Sonata at sticker, before rebates. That doesn't reflect real-world pricing, so I'm not sure where Edmunds is getting their data. :surprise: In my area (Twin Cities), advertised prices on 2009 Sonatas start at $16k, which is well below sticker before rebates. And that's without any negotiating.
I called North. The internet manager replied that he thought it applied only to 2008 models, that his associate sent the email, and that he had 33 new messages in his inbox. He did not call back. :confuse:
Thank you
Good luck

The the dealer wants to sell it for $13700 plus t&t for 6500 miles Sonata 08 demo. How much should I go down for this demo. Thank for all the help. i love the messages and really helped alot.
Click on "financing" and then select "special offers" from the drop down display.
This will show you national incentives. Click on your state (or state of intended purchase) to see rebates available from Hyundai in that state.
Owner loyalty rebates come & go from time to time. It is model specific, not across the board usually.
Afterthought: Maybe a train coach seat should be priced plus motels and 1300 miles on the new car factored in to see if it would really be worth it...probably not. :sick:
I am trying to buy a Hyundai 09 Sonata GLS I4 Auto with just basic options.
I have received couple internet quotes but so far, the best I received was $18,100 OTD (everything included) price.
I am sure I can come down more but any idea on what is the reasonable OTD price for Sonata 09 GLS I4s ?
By the way, I am in Houston area.
Thank you.
Just ask for the straight sales price for the car. You can add in the additional fees for an out the door price if you have a calculator. If a trade is involved, get a price before the trade for comparison purposes. Then you can see what they are really giving you for your trade. If not, forget asking as the trade will muddy the water so much it would be impossible to compare. They could give you a great price on the new and lousy on the old or vice-versa.
Anyone willing to share a buying experience?
I am in the Houston area.
In the northeast, Towne Hyundai is selling '09 Sonatas @ $3501 below invoice (including rebate), $4,001 for those who qualify for owner loyalty rebate.
