36/12 - .00040 and 55%
39/12 - .00040 and 54%
48/12 - .00115 and 49%

$800 lease cash on all three terms; this is a factory to dealer incentive that the dealer can choose to pass along to the customer.

The depreciation portion of a lease payment is calculated on "negotiated price - residual"

Most lease sweet spots are 36 or 39 months ... after that, the depreciation is just that much worse, so the banks discourage leasing by jacking up the MF as well.

The longer the term, the more variability in condition upon return. The visibility is a lot easier for 36 months, than 48, so less risk to the bank.

I'm talking to my local dealer, where I got my '13 Sierra 1500 Denali, about trading/selling that, and getting a new '15 Sierra 1500 Denali. For a 39 month, 10k per year lease, I am be quoted a lease based on a MF of .001234(2.96% APR). Which appears totally out of line. Is the MF for the Denali higher than the SLE, which is stated as .0004 in the above posts? Even if they are assuming sub-top tier credit it sounds awfully marked up.

Which would not surprise me, as I the quoted selling price is $54,650 on an MSRP of $58,350. Keep in mind they are already factoring in an eligible $750 lease loyalty rebate in that number. This on a vehicle they are advertising for over $7k off MSRP (not including the aforementioned rebate) on their website.

And, there may be purchase incentives that aren't applicable for a lease, hence the different price.

I factored in the difference in incentives. They flat out increased the net price from them. I don't know why they would not use GM Financial for their calculation. I have an existing lease from Ally based on their top credit tier. Regardless, they have not even pulled credit yet, so it would surprise me.

Suffice it to say, I'm in the process of getting numbers from two other dealers. One in my area, and a high volume dealer back in MI I came across while doing more research yesterday. I'll report back when I get more data.

I have been quoted 57%, .00124 (seems high) and $1,400 incentive.

The September program is good through November 2nd, so numbers haven't changed.

We show .00040 MF and 57% residual. $1400 lease cash, through GM Financial.

Will the actual value be over or above that in three years? No idea, really.

Can't really reconcile with your numbers, as your residual is not a whole percentage of the MSRP given, so something must be off a little bit..

But, if the CAP cost is $50,350 ($57000 minus $6650), then I get a payment of $526/mo, which is a little higher than your quote.

So, if you are happy with the selling price, then the lease numbers are in your favor. Not a bad price for a $59K MSRP truck.

I know I just posted additional questions to you in the Acadia forum but I'm also looking at getting a new Sierra at the same time. Could you give me the MF & residual for a 2016 Sierra 1500 Denali? Dealer is telling me it it is 0.00105 and 68%? I'm in northern Indiana if it matters. Dealer also says there is no lease cash incentives currently.

I will have to order the truck and it may not arrive until late Dec or early Jan. Do you foresee any major moves in the MF and/or residual? Or do they typically hold steady?
